500,000 km + on my 3b...5-8000 km between oil/filter changes and she does not drop a mm between changes !!....but last month I did a change and found metal in my oil filter...changed filter another 1500 km and no metal.....I am doing an analysis next month so I will find out what it is .

Right now I am running a Synthetic Chevron Delo 0w40.

It's to thin right now, but it's still cold enough to be okay.
I am only running it because it came with my truck with it's cold wheather package.

From now on I am going stick with 15w40 all year round.

Cheers,
Nick

Stone,
I wasn't suggesting that oils advertised as "synthetic" or "full synthetic" are not as advertised, but rather that the oils advertised as "semi synthetic" may not be 50-50 as the name would imply.

Dipstick markings: I thought maybe 1 litre also, but nobody seems to know for sure and others have suggested 2L.

My "guess" would be 1L as well...
