What’s up everyone

So it doesn’t seems like it would be related but here’s what happened.

I left my lights on for about 5 hours while at work. The car still started, but it struggled to kick on. Then the clicking happened. I thought maybe it would go away once the battery recharged. But it’s still happening a few days later.

Some things I noticed.
(1) Once I get out of 1st gear the clicking goes away.
(2) After starting the car, the car seems like it struggle to stay running. The head lights will dim but come back to full. This happens until I take the car out of park.

Here is a link to the video I uploaded on YouTube. Hope this help!

My guess is that the starter is stuck on. When were the starter contacts last replaced?

2 what he said starter stuck

Yes, that is definitely your starter contacts.

Replace your starter.

Just so you know, thats a high fire risk scenario. Id not drive it till the contacts and/or starter were repaired/replaced.

Just sayin’. See recent thread on engine fire

If you turn it off, at idle, clicking like that, what happens? When a starter is stuck, it will usually keep running, turning the motor, until the battery is disconnected.

Take a hammer to it a few times, it should start as normal. But you’re on borrowed time so replacement is necessary.
