78 with headers. Runs great till it heats up. Chugs then if you let off or come to a stop it stalls. Starts right back up though. It doesnt sputter just a rhythmic chugging. Just started happening. I replaced the FP and filter to see if that was it and nope. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Check your carb settings. I would also do a leak test on the intake system - the carb and the intake manifold at the engine. I made special stepped washers to equalize the thickness between the header and manifold. I made longer studs and run 2 man-a-fre gaskets that were installed wet after getting the mating surface clean and flat. I also used stainless steel nuts with high temp anti seize compound - no leaks.

Check the plugs and wires, gap if there is one - look at the spark. On a dark night, open the hood and look for dancing fire.

This time of year add some gas dryer.
