Luke111 produced a complete 80 series lid and surround. No reason one could not be done for the 200...

You could put like lots of stuff in there. (Beavis and Butthead laughter ensues)

Where did you get the cool gun shaped dugout?

No duck tape???

That would have made it a "BTK kit"

Excellent mod. I had one of these on a prior 200 series - loved the space - I kept a couple of fishing poles in mine most of the time. I followed Eric Sarjeant's team's idea and layered it with sound deadening (dynamat type stuff) and automotive grade carpet. It was definitely worthwhile. The only thing I didn't like as much was the loss of lift assist springs (some guys have a solution to keeping them) and the tailgate got pretty heavy.

I keep 4 ratchet straps in the left compartment. I have seen a nicely done FJ60 tailgate compartment with a black rifle and accessories securely fitted but easily extracted.

On the cool box, I love it. I have 2 fridges (only have both in one truck on big trips) but love having the cool box at hand. It re-cools very fast and I'm impressed with the temp it maintains.

I wouldn't bother with those things, unless you just have to be a purist. Check out the battery operated LED safety flares, super bright and really get your attention. I chose to carry a pair that run on CR123 batteries, which I change out every year on my birthday while I'm doing the remote batteries and the smoke detectors in the house.

Hate to resurrect an old thread from the dead but does anyone have a part number for the actual BOX that goes in that space. It looks like we have tracked down the part numbers for the items in the box but not the box itself.
