Wondering if anyone can shed some light on what this set of wires on the RHS wheel well does? Also if anyone has any recommendations for auto electricians in the Melbourne area?

Have no Earthly idea what the solenoid is for, or why they piggy-backed a bunch of circuit breakers?

You might follow the wiring to see where it all goes and what (if anything) it activates/powers.

This one is a ‘93 Australian LHD. I looked up the New Era box and it’s a relay for lights, most likely a prior set of spotties. As for the rest, ?

I've seen worse. At least it's all insulated and tightened down properly. There are a lot of older rigs with duct tape holding a mass of wires together.

I get the same headlight relay story as everyone - IDK but the bunch of wires around it look like winch solenoid wired with extremely under-guage wire. :meh:

What all besides the headlight relay is your 80 wearing in extra lights/powered accessories?

Since I've had I've replaced the bullbar, winch and spots so nothing in front. I was thinking it could be a second battery system but not sure. The only other piece of equipment nailed on that I haven't replaced is a trailer brake controller.

Rule #3 whatever you don't cut the red wire.

Interesting setup, I agree, looks like a winch solenoid. Trace each wire, see where it goes. OR, disconnect 1 at a time and see what doesn't work.

That’s hilarious. Disconnect and go for a drive sround your yard/neighborhood. If nothing changes take it out!!

Yep, that's the old school way my dad and i set our off road lights, and other electrical circuits. We used all circuit breakers instead of using glass fuzes when we build a Bronco to run in the Baja 1000 in the early 70's, man I'm getting old.
