Patrick,

Your best bet is send Ehsan an email directly.....he should be able to find a group that is starting an order. Or you can start an order like was suggested earlier....;)

go direct and use DHL for delivery...its only like 250-350? more dollars but you get it much sooner and to your door.

How do I get his email, I would be interested in talking to him. If you don't want to post it public send me a PM. Thanks.

Alright guys, here's the scoop. I was in Houston on business this week, and during this time the shipment arrived in the US. Unfortunately, for some reason Ehsan sent it to Long Beach, CA. instead of Seattle, WA.

Jim Jackson, the President of ARB USA is doing us a favor and having his broker get it cleared from the docks at Long Beach.

We wanted it sent to Seattle so it could be offloaded and transported to ARB USA at no charge, where it was going to be broken down and shipped to each person.

Because it was sent to the wrong port, we are going to have an extra shipping charge. The choice was to either have it shipped to ARB USA and broken down/shipped as planned, but I choose to ship it to me here at Toyota of Dallas where I will break it down and ship it out.

It cost about the same either way (the container is listed at about 2,500#), so I chose to have it shipped to me so there would be less "cooks in the kitchen" so to speak and I can inspect and photograph the items and not inconvenience anyone any further.

As soon as it clears and I have a timetable to get it to Dallas I will post up.

Everyone please watch your email as I will be contacting everyone individually as well as posting here.

IF YOU WERE NOT ON THE ORIGINAL ORDER (YOU BOUGHT SOMEONE ELSE'S ORDER OR ADDED ON LATE), PLEASE EMAIL ME PROMPTLY AT VALKYRIE610@YAHOO.COM SO I CAN MAKE SURE MY RECORDS ARE CORRECT BEFORE THE SHIPMENT REACHES ME!

Thanks, I'll be in touch as soon as there is a development.

Great News Chris. Thanks again for taking care of shipment.

Hello
I checked all the documents that I have or the copies that I have. All of them mention Renton WA as the port of discharge. The Bill of Lading mentions the following details.
Place of Reciept: Karachi
Port of Loading: Karachi
Ocean Vessel: Gallant Wave Voyage No. 041
Port of Discharge: Long Beach U.S.A.
Final Destination: Seattle Washington
The invoice, Bill of Lading, Goods Declaration, Form E, Certificate of Origin and the Insurance documents (which I have not sent you as yet) all mention The full address of ARB Warehouse in Renton Washington as the consignee address.
Now if the shipment was actually dropped for good at Long Beach then the shipment company should be taken up for it. If it was in transit then we will know. I am going to ask for a written explanation from the shipping company and then post it as a reply on the thread. Lets see what they say.
Thanks
Ehsan

I know its a LOOOOOONG shot, but I just though I would ask.

Did anyone in this order buy a rear tailgate that they would part with for some extra $$$$$$?

Since the order was placed, I have aquired a 76' 40. I am going to be selling my 74' which was an oem soft top. So now I need a tailgate too!

I'm guessing the port of discharge should have been Seattle.. and final destination Seattle..

I talked to the shipping company people in detail and they said that the shipment was going for Seattle. All the information above points to that. Its like connecting flights. You go to Washington and catch a connecting flight for LA.

As a matter of fact, yes. :) I was going to convert, but I finally decided to proceed with my restofication using my barn doors.

$300 plus the ride, I'll stick it in with your other stuff when it gets here.

Well, just like connecting flights I suppose, except it was dropped off with no forwarding (connecting) instructions, which is why ARB was called and told to come get their container.

Anyways, I haven't heard a thing from anyone except for ARB, who thankfully seems to be in control of things. All the paperwork was sent to them, they are getting things together.

Everyone stand by please... all is well, remain calm. :D

But if the shippers made the mistake why do we get saddled with the extra cost? Remain calm my ass! :grinpimp:
