Bezel.... subtract $1000

Want badly...must resist. Wonder if ACC knows this rig.

I agree Eddy, nice looking truck.

Anyone recognize the speaker unit and the back portion of the roof liner.

I spoke with the seller a few weeks ago. Nice guy, but he said he didn't have the importation documents. He has Georgia plates, as he said they only need a bill of sale there to get plates. He did not have a title, but maybe with it being registered in Ga., you can register it in some other states? I am not sure of the rules so I didn't pursue it further. With my luck I'd get it and then find out that I can't register it.

This truck was for sale in TN for $8,900 OBO couple months ago by a guy named Ken. Now, this guy is asking $17,000.... The pics Ken provided me show where there's cancer. This guy isn't being as forthcoming IMO. Unbelievable.

Honestly, it is very believable.

Probably just take one case of a classic car collector making a federal case out of it to change that. If the vehicle was legally owned in one state then unless they have proof it was a stolen or a illegally imported vehicle they have no right to say it's illegal just because it now in IL. Maybe refuse to title and register for use on IL roads but a private collector certainly has the right to keep it in his collect without have to worrying about it be seized and crushed. Many states back east do not issue title for older vehicles. I checked with my DMV and they have book that shows title laws from all states. If a vehicle would not a title a bill of sale is all that is needed. Does this mean they are no bonded or abandoned titles issued in IL? I know AZ drops a title out of the system after five years of non registered. To register it after five years is a pain if you lost the title. I gave my 79 to my daughter and her husband. When they got a divorce I got it back minus the title which they never transferred. I got nowhere with the VIN getting a new title. While going thru my titles one day I found I had made a copy of the 79 title. Because they never transferred the title with title # I was able to get a title. Otherwise I would have had to gone thru a bonded title. If I had never owned I could have gone abandoned which is easier. But I did have options. None of which included seized and crushed.

I was looking at a NH rig at one point. PA DMV told me I'd have to go get a court order before they would issue me a title since it didn't have one from NH.

They have bonded titles in IL. If you want to take possession of a car in IL that doesn't have a title the process takes two years, during which you must post a bond of twice the value of the vehicle. It's illegal to have an unregistered car in the state, collector or not. If you use one of the companies that take a a bill of sale, register it in their state and then give you the new out of state title then IL will take your car.

No title? Worthless in IL.

Sounds like someone needs to file a law suite in federal court. AZ game & fish tried to restrict the number of big game tag issue in drawings to out of state persons to just 10%. Took just one outfitter from NM to file a law suit in federal court claiming it restricted free trade between states to have it revoked. Same applies here. PA and IL are reducing where someone could sell their vehicle. If it was a matter of emission or diesel engine would be one thing but even then it would have to apply to all vehicles not just those from out of state. If a vehicle was legally owned in that state and that type of vehicle is legal in the state trying to get a title then they are suppose to recognize the laws of other state. Here in AZ we are use to having the feds step in when our law makers decide they can do what ever they want and the federal government has no jurisdiction here. There are times it's good to have a federal government. When I here things like seize and crushed sounds like one of them. This reminds me of what I've read about Germany in the thirties. What's the old saying if we don't remember our past we are doomed to repeat it.

PS AZ game & fish pretty much got what they wanted but used fees instead of regulations to do it. In the past you were only required to buy a hunting license if you were drawn. Now everybody has to buy a hunting license just to apply. Out of state hunting licenses aren't cheap so fewer out of state people apply.

Is it any wonder why disgusted folks turn to illegal registrations to get around such arbitrary and mean-spirited restrictions?

I thought the goon-balls in my state(California) had the edge on stupid laws--guess they've infected some of the other states now.
We've got two Senators I'd be happy to swap with some other state.
