I’m going to throw this up for sale in case anyone is interested. No it’s not cheap but putting it here before I post other places. Oem stamped Land Cruiser bezel. $1000. Yes it’s crazy but they aren’t around. Fiberglass is a $300 alternative. I am looking for a troopy and would consider this a finders fee if you find me a deal on one that I buy. Located in Montana.

Come on now…I need more details than that!?!?

model (FJ, BJ, HJ, 70 series)

-gas or diesel

-restored or original

-mileage or a range

-price range

-modifications

-color

-US only or abroad (I’m going to guess US?)

How do you want me to post them? Here or send them to you in a PM 5-10 at a time?

Also…I think anything in here:
that you make a deal on should count?!?!? 😁😉

I’ll give you $801. For the record…I’m kidding.

However I’m going to find Chad a Troopy and get it thru good ole fashioned hard work. 😉

Well, all you resto wannabee's shouldn't have a stamped bezel on any of your rigs post mid-'63 anyhow. Especially if you also have "Toyota" on your radiator grill!

Someday I'll find who has the one that should be on my early '63. Free of charge :p .

Paul do we have any idea when in the serial number run the “Stamped bezel” stopped? I’ve got a ‘63 FJ-45 but I’m not sure if it had one or not?

Don't have the answer for stamped bezel production dates, but looks like early part number was FJ40 52121, and in 1964 it changed to 53111-60010 thru Jan 1979. The Jan 1964 serial frame number starts FJ40~22692, so before that. Hope this narrows it down a bit. @JohnnyC might be able to help.

@Unimogguy does the grille (expanded metal screen) have a toyota emblem or not? the stamped bezel did not have the Toyota emblem in the center of headlights. the early ones wont have the holes in screen or have the bar across the back of screen that support the toyota emblem. you can with a cut off wheel remove the support for the Toyota emblem, but then it will have a small hole in the metal where the emblem comes thru. they couldnt apparently line it up as to not have to nip one of the connection points of the expanded screen.

my 63 fj40 19678 did not have the stamped bezel. had one on it from a 61 for many years tell cppilot talked me out of it.

also im not sure what year the door handles changed 62 63 so not sure if it was same time as the bezel. the early door handle interior backing plate is more inline with the kick vent shape and the handle sticks forward, where as the later 63 has the long running "D" shapped backing plate, i think up tell 74 with a few changes of how the handle mechanism works and locks work and look.
