Well, you guys didn't buy all these fast enough to keep me from ordering a set. Excited to get them.
Thanks for the order, I'll ship them today.

Has anyone run these skids with a TJM bumper?
Post up some pictures of how the bumper is mounted, specifically from underneath. This will help determine if they will fit or not.

I don't have it yet but it's the one I want. And I also want these skids.

Of the thread's I've saved, these are the only pics I could find that might be helpful.

do you sell the cat guards only? i dont need the rest of the stuff
If you just need cat guards, I would advise you to check out Bud Built cat guards.

My system priorities vehicle undercarriage protection with the bonus of cat deterrents. The cat deterrents attach to my sub-frame and the skids hide the bolts to the cat deterrents.

ah i understand now. Thank you

Installed mine today.

To deal with the front and Install the radiator guard, I trimmed the front bumper tabs back to the aluminum crashbar and trimmed the plastic wings to butt up to the skids. Put 4 M6 threaded holes in the crashbar and bolted the bumper and the two wings directly to it.

Update:

Skids can now be purchased in sections on the site

Even though you can buy just the front section, I recommend getting the engine skid with it

Front cat deterrents will need transmission skid section

Rear cat deterrents will need transfercase section

Power steering cooler guard will need front skid section

$200 discount for getting the full system

Prices now include shipping

Please let me know if you're adding on to an existing system to get proper parts.

so is that about $1175 for cat deterrent?
Unfortunately, yes. The cat deterrents are just a bonus to the skid system. If you just want cat protection, I would really consider Budbuilt cat protectors.

New Years sale, 20% off. If you're a silver or gold member, pm me for an additional 5% off.

If you do get the skid system, would love to see photos/video of it installed on your LX 😊
I would probably confuse everyone lol. Would be alot of F bombs and walking around

@turbo8 - it's a real pleasure to see a student of Smokey Yunick! Very nicely executed!

Not that any of us will ever find out, but I'd bet there are improvements to MPG and top speed.

Now that I have an 80 for the more aggressive trails, I'm looking to go with this lighter and cooler (figurative and hopefully literal) option for the 200. If I remember correctly when I installed my BudBuilt skids, I put in a t-case cross member, but I don't remember if I removed something that would be necessary for these skids to replace the BudBuilt. Also would need to integrate with the Dissent front bumper.

Anyone installed these after having run the BudBuilt and/or integrated with the Dissent front bumper?
