Let me tell you guys; Sean does great work. I received mine last week and only had a brief chance to look it over. The welds are even and straight, have good penetration and depth by the looks of the heat trail surrounding the welds. No splatter marks. The steel he uses is top quality with no seams. The fit and finish was well thought out and looks like its going to take a beating just fine. I have done quite a bit of fabricating myself, however with my need for this item and this fire season just too busy i don't have time and this was well worth the money.

I could not of built one cheaper(the cost of my labor) or better myself. After I test fit it I will post pics and after its powder coated I will post more pics. Sean designed mine after the man-a-fre carrier. And it was half the cost. I was quoted 150 for black wrinkle powdercoat, still makes it 700 less than a pre fab one and mine is custom!

I'll jump in... I bought one recently and have been traveling/too busy to do anything with it yet, but I'll validate the quality everyone else is talking about! I can't wait to get it powdercoated and installed. Really a nice piece of work.

I will post pics when I get it done... just won't be for a few weeks.
 
Sean, would it be possible to add a plate for quarter panel protection to the ends of the main tube, similar to a Kaymar/ICON rear carrier?

I could do a piece of tubing similar to what I did with a tacoma bumper.


But, it would add some cost.

Just wanted to thank you again for a great product and deal on the swingout tire carrier. I haven't installed it on my 40 yet but did tape everything off and paint it. The craftsmanship is amazing. I can definitely tell that your family has been in the fab biz for a long time. I hope the top is working well for you.

Ill post some pics once I get my truck back from the paint shop but here are some painted pics as well as new Jerry Cans in the carrier portion of the carrier.

Thanks Travis! it looks nice with some paint on it, I put the top on and it is pretty nice to not have the soft top flapping so much.

I was all prepared to post pictures last night of the newly powder coated Sean-Special but the "new guy" at the place didn't follow instructions and powdered the entire rack. Yep, the bearing post AND the bearing races. The other 20 pieces were great. They do a good job but communication breakdowns can screw up anything.

Sean, I'll post as soon as they can fix it.
