In talking with Nick at DT about the sound, he implied that it will probably lower the pitch and give it a little more grumble, but it isn't nearly as loud as most aftermarket exhausts. With that in mind, your guess is still as good as mine.

Funny I just had a call from DT to update contact info for their next catalog issue. Seems they're going through 100-Series people at the same time.

I talked to Nick today and he didn't seem very optimistic about the friday release date. He said probably another couple weeks and emphasized that he needed to talk to the R&D guy about the release. Did the 07Sep12 date come from Nick or someone else, because he almost didn't really even seem aware that there was an exact date proposed.
When i placed my order on the phone he said he expected it to be shipping around first week of September. I am just happy they are actually making it and it isn't just an "idea" anymore. I don't really mind waiting on unnecessary mod. If my exhaust was broken id be quite anxious though,

This was the availability information from Nick on 16 AUG; I spoke with him and he confirmed Friday 07 SEP as the date. I'll contact him tomorrow and get a response from him and post.

It is a deeper, more primal grumble than stock, quite so; fairly quiet at idle (but deeper than stock idle) and picks up, but nothing obnoxious...it doesn't sound like a teenagers truck, but an adult's rig. IMHO, it sounds more like it should be; if I can use the analogy of how the performance "should have been" after headers are installed, that's kinda how the sound 'should have been' from Mr. T. Or something close.

Like I mentioned, we had the cat-back installed prior to the header install, with drive time in between. Stock manifolds and the cat-back did have a perceptible performance difference - smoother acceleration and a bit more responsive; I would classify this as an incremental change vs. a fundamental change. The sound is definitely an improvement over stock - mild & not something that will pi$$ of the neighbors at low rpms, but it does have some throat at mid R's. I found peak resonance ~1850 - 2150, but not something that disrupts interior conversation. The back is still pretty quite, but obviously a little noisier in the cabin than stock config. We're running Toyo MTs/315's, and they are the noise makers. Overall, I'm pleased and have gotten used to the sound.

Called & left Nick a message...still waiting for return call. I'm just as frustrated that this hasn't been available & installed on other 100's a couple weeks after the development was finished.

When I ordered mine earlier this week he said its looking like the last half of September for shipment. I'm not in a huge hurry and since he has gone out and done this for us (again) I'm being patient. Just like with the headers, it took a while, but we got them.
