I finished my BIOR rear install a couple days ago and I've got to say that the exhaust is considerably louder without the spare underneath. I'll probably invest in some dampening mats to stick under the carpet as there seems to be a slight drone from 1900 to 2050 rpm. I also took off the spare tire mounting mechanism and this might have also provided some more rigidity and dampening. It's not terrible, but If I can fix it with $20 worth of dampening mats then I'd might as well do so.

yeah sounds about like mine now that I hear it....hahahaha I think our smart phones pick up the higher tones easier as they bounce all around and off the driveways.
