1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 Full Size 4X4 2F

"RARE full size 1984 North-American spec Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 for sale. VERY SOLID. Western truck, just shipped in. Starts right up. Runs good. Needs a good detailing and a paint job to be perfect. Clear title in hand. These FJ60 cruisers are in HIGH DEMAND these days and regularly sell for over $40,000 when finished. Very easy light project or drive as-is while it appreciates in value."

Wow, gotta love CL ads. Asking price on this one is $17,500 and thats probably about $14,000 too high. The wheels alone should be an indication of the problems with this vehicle.

The frame is still very solid....

Looks like the owner used the inside to house a family of rabid raccoons.
I vaguely remember this cruiser from when I was a kid. Spent many summers camping on Branscomb Rd. Sad to see it in this state.

Hah! Look at this one...

Oh boy. reads like a Scammers wet dream

I jumped on BAT the other day and the first thing I saw was a thumbnail for a bright green FJ45 and my very first thought was "Costa Rican import" brought in through Florida. Upon reading the description Bingo.

the dreamer in this case the the fool who is willing to shell out $18k plus for a thoroughly clapped out costa rican farm truck that's been hastily painted with a thick coat of green paint and is going to soon figure out the $500 pesos banana farm truck was just lipstick on a pig

The three states of matter are solid, liquid, gas. Based on that I agree the frame is very much a solid.
While this is true, one should point out that a portion of the frame is in a solid state, but in rust particles on the ground. All a matter of perspective I guess.

Brought $26K plus 5% buyers premium. No affiliation
$26k is a lot to pay for a starting point

Won by someone who created an account in November and only ever bid on this one auction and never commented on anything or asked any questions. This sounds fishy to me.

I bought a car off of BAT back in 2015. But it was close to me and I went to see it in person and I still have it. But I have seen a lot of suspicious auctions

I recently saw a pretty half assed restomod Ford Hi boy go for well over $100k. That one made me really question who’s buying this stuff!

Yeah the BAT business makes a ton of money. I’ve also heard more than a few stories of buyers not following through leaving sellers with little recourse.

I love the strategically placed camera angles and objects blocking the view.

I have seen a ton of vehicles in my time that look way better in the pictures then they do in person. I would hate to see what this one looks like “in person”. It might give a true FJ40 lover a heart attack 😊!

I also love how they say "a little bit of rust" and they have the missing window if you want to put it in... good luck with that. This listing made me laugh out loud!!
