Hey Guys, I need some new door hinge bushings all around, does anybody have the the measurements for them?

Thanks in advance

You can buy them from MAF, SOR, CCOA and a number of other companies that specialize in 40 parts. Yes, you can take the measurements from the bushings and buy headed bushings that are made from superior plastics from companies such as MSC Industrial Supply, Enco or McMaster-Carr. If I can find one in my shop, I will post the dimensions. I'm sure there are a number members that can locate one and post the dimensions.

Southbostonfj was selling brass door hinge bushings. I got a set from him since they will last alot longer than the plastic ones will. You could PM him but I don't know if he still has any left.

Thanks, bsevans, I was hoping you would chime in. I plan on ordering some of superior quality, but when i took off my door and hinges, there were no bushings in them.... so no measurements to go off of.

I thought about ordering some from southboston, but the link i found said that there were no more...

I'll try and get some measurements off one of the brass ones from southbostonfj and post them for you.

Here are the measurements for the brass bushings:
bushing OD 0.380"
flange OD 0.628"
bushing ID 0.310"
flange thickness 0.0425"
OAL .400
I think the only critical measurements are the ID and OD and the flange thickness so it fits in the hinge

This needs to be in the FAQ section.............

Thank you sir, invaluable information!!!!!!!

Make a bunch of them, we can always use more!

I googled "brass bushing" and got 250,000 image results.

It appears that bushings can be made for cheap. Or that you may be able to buy the right ones cheap (and I don't mean $25/8).

It looks like it could be worth the leg work. If they could be found for $.50x8=$4 then I'm sure people would line up to buy them for a reasonable markup. They're not worth $25 to me... especially when I know brass bushings can be bought for as little as $.10/each. :D

If you can find the proper bushing with the proper flange for a dime be sure and let us in on it.

Custom order.

The places that seemed to have them dirt cheap were for large orders.

If I can find them, I'll let you know. Or start a business selling them for a price that won't make you :crybaby: if you loose one.

Will These work for the ambulance door hinges as well?

Nsk. FF413-2 Oilite Bushing

I've ordered some and will let you all know how they work out.
Flanged bushing
Told "5/16 id 7/16 od"
Bushing 0.3135 id
Bushing 0.4395 od
9/16 od Flange
1/16 flange thickness

I'll need to drill hinge out to 7/16", but for $1 each I'm going to give it a go.

I may also step up to a 5/16" hinge pin if the stock one is too loose.

Guys, I am having more made as we speak. They will again be $16 per set of 8 including shipping. I will post up as soon as they are done.

That sure beats the $25 + shipping I've seen online.
