Where to buy Windshield Hinge Bushings (door bushings seem to large) SEE PICTURES

My windshield hinges are very loose. I removed the pins and thought the door pin bushings were the same. They will not work unless I shave them down. Is this correct procedure or are there separate bushings for windshield hinges?
They look the same but the discolored bushing in the top of photo is original. It seems to be definitely smaller in diameter.

I used SOR plastic door bushings on my '78 windshield hinges years ago - is your truck an earlier year than that? Perhaps hood hinge pin sizes changed?

I'm not sure but I think the PO (my favorite gunsmith) turned brass rods for them I know he did the front door that way. I have never understand the concept of out plastic in the weather and sunshine - UV and ozone eat that stuff.

He make hood hinge bushing with stainless pin , look like this is what you need , he also make door and windshield hinge bushing

I think he's sells the bushings separately too.

Cleaning out the inside, honing, and a little lubricant did the trick. Now there are nice and snug.
