Door bow, is this factory?

I noticed my doors have the same bow in them and was wondering if this was factory or not?

I was thinking of welding a small strip of angle iron in there to flatten and reinforce it but not sure if it will interfere with the window yet

Yes. I asked the same question several months ago.
Do all doors have bows or depressions?

Absolutely not!!! It is from sand blasting the door!!

Door panel warped because of too much heat while sand blasting.

my doors were never sand blasted, so that rules that out....

My guess is that it happens over time after long exposure to the hot sun, considering that the sheet metal is paper thin.

Anybody done angle iron? Guess that'd be the easiest fix as opposed to filler. Mine have the original paint so it's not sand blasting. Both sides are identically "bowed" so I'd guess it was factory. 1/16" to 1/8" bowed. Mine will be painted in the next month and regardless of whether it was like this factory or not I'd like to fix it. I'd like to know if angle iron would give enough window clearance.

Hmmmm, angle iron.... sounds good. Tack welded on each end with some seam sealer to cushion it against the door skin...

its a cruiser- everything bows and is meant to - hence the riveted frames.
