The tires are 11 years old and suspension 18 years old. I'm FINALLY ready to pull the trigger and change out the suspension.

I installed it myself but will be using a shop this time.

Current OME kit said 2-1/2" lift and had the castor corrective bushings. A few years later I upgraded to 10.5 x 33" BFG TA tires.

Question #1 - Should I figure the castor corrective bushings are still good? I believe there is a "steel plate" castor correction available which seems beefier and should do a better job.
Question #2 - is there a MUD vendor who can walk me through so I'm sure I get the right stuff? I went through the list and can't find a Dobinson vendor.

While I'm getting in there, I'm going to check/replace the tie-rod ends and get the rest of the steering checked out. The knuckles look okay and my mechanic said they're still good - no play.
Question #3 - There are a TON of threads and videos on knuckle rebuild, I've done it a few times. I'm a believer if don't fix what's not broke, but how often (time or miles) is it recommended to redo the knuckles?

The OME was a fantastic suspension! I was originally going to replace it with the same, but after reading the Dobinson was a much more comforable, I'm going Dobinson. I just hope it holds up like the OME.

Thanks in advanced.

I'm looking to source OEM control arm bushings - ALL bushings except the front control arm as I have the OME caster correction bushings.

I've been googling all morning. I want rubber, not poly. CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A SOURCE?

I appreciate any help.

Partsouq, impex or your dealer of choice. Genuine Bushings are significantly better than any aftermarket Bushing.

Do you have Toyota dealers in MO? Pretty sure they can get you the bushings. I order through Lexus online and the part is delivered to my local Lexus dealer. Lexus frequently has 15%+ off promotions and I can get the part in a day or two.

After 10+ years of OME's, I replaced them back in January with some MRR's and replaced ALL suspension bushings at the same time. I'd ordered too late for an Utah trip, DeltaVS front arms and had to run the OME off-sets with new frame side OEM bushings (the ones you're after). Obviously she handled much better, but the caster was still off. About four weeks ago I installed the new DVS arms and their rear panhard relo bracket. Night and F'n day. Additionally, those four OME poly bushings really degrade the NVH of the vehicle. Not to mention the loads they place on the frame side brackets during heavy articulation.

MRR's are nice to be able to dial in your ride for the load. I would not go back to a non-fully (Hi/Lo/rebound) adjustable shock again. Time will tell if their Chinesium build holds up and if Dobinsons will have enough dealers around to rebuild them in 2-4 years. Just had four Kings rebuilt for my Power Wagon. - $1,200

Is Ozark Overland Outfitters near you? They specialize in Land Cruisers and they are a Dobinsons dealer.
No, it's about 4-1/2 hours away in Des Plains, MO where the great Dick Van Dyke was born.
