I just installed Dobinsons C59-170 springs in front and C59-169 in the rear of my 1991. There weren't many reviews when I searched, so here is mine. These springs and shocks replaced an OME setup from Slee that was getting long in the tooth and was sagging badly in the front. It was back down to stock height from 3" of lift. It rode really harsh and was hard to control on washboard road at 30mph. It kind of walked around and bounced a lot on bigger dips, and just generally rode pretty stiff considering it had 75K miles on the suspension. The front bump pads were shiny from contact. I have an ARB front bumper, but no winch. The 91-92 have the boat anchor of the 3-FE engine, and that adds a lot of weight that OME didn't account for. Dobinsons did. I wanted to net 2" of lift all around, and that's exactly what I got. Just right for 35's. It rides like a '72 Cadillac Eldorado on the highway, but a lot less body roll. Much more confident in the corners (not that it's a racecar, but you know what I mean) and the road that felt like the space shuttle on re-entry at 30 mph I took at 50mph driving with one hand in confidence. For my rig and what I do, it's perfect. The shocks used all of the available travel, leaving 1/8" of clearance between the front driveshaft and the sway bar at full droop. It's sits fairly level, and does what I need it to. No alignment problems. No geometry issues. It just works. 5 stars for the value. I considered the Icon slinky set up, but I hate rocks, and spending as much on suspension as I did on the truck is goofy to me. I will drive five miles around to avoid a rock garden. Just not my thing. Obviously, this set up will outperform the factory stuff by a large margin in the rocks, but I mostly cruise two tracks and dirt roads in BFE and it does well there. Would buy again.
