My quick measure shows each should fit 19"x33". I'm going to trace it on my plasma table, 50"x75" so should be good. When I get it doodled I'll send it to Send cut send and Xometry to make sure they are good options.

Looking at hinges and latches now.

I went thru a lot of options and one thing to keep in mind is that the hinge gullwing face has to sit recessed compared to the hinge truck face. I’ve used some left over hinges I had but if I was to do it again, I’d use the truck hinge latches in this thread.

Happy to share my dxf but it may not be what you want...
I used SouthCo E3-16-25 compression latches and recessed the Leer hinges on the top edge to minimize the gap.

They're definitely not perfect but close enough for jazz. Maybe one day I'll dial in the profile and get some borosilicate waterjetted.

Go ahead and upload it, nice to have options! I'm not sure how close I'll get this weekend, but it's a pre-summer project.

love this design, got couple of questions pls.

How does your latches work - push in, and twist or just insert key and twist to unlock? For the Leer top hinges, did you do the rivnuts thing? May i see a pic of that area from the inside pls?

Thanks @alia176 !

The E3 compression latches are pretty friggin' nifty. The head rotation initially actuates the cam 90deg and then pulls it 1/4" and vice versa. Really slick and low profile. The shaft is quite long out of the package and can almost be entirely cut away, I only have a small gap between the body and base jam nut. Pretty stoked with how it turned out!

For the top hinges I used neato Ejot Sheettrac sheetmetal screws sealed with Dow 732 and conservatively torqued to 3.1Nm. They were kind of annoying to source but it turns out KTM specs the 50X10 variant on some of their motos so I ordered them from an online moto shop. I initially intended to use blind rivnuts but was pretty pumped to avoid that and try something new.

You don't say ......shaft is quite long out of the package 🤣.

So you went with the special screws versus using Rivnuts or nutserts.

Thx for the info 🙏🏾
