Where can I find prices and where are you located?

A few pages back Ben posted pricing at $2400 for rear bumper with driver side tire mount swing out. Passenger side is still in development and will have additional cost. Shipping is not included in that price.

Price doesn't include powder coating as well

rear bumpers are definitely a point of graduation from "i wanna look like i have a built up rig" to "I've spent as much on the build as the truck cost me"

with powder and shipping, this thing is going to run around $4k would be my guess. that's if you install it yourself.

I think you should find another powder coater ;)

I couldn't imagine shipping being more than $250 and I really doubt that powder coating will cost $1000.

It's so close I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that I win a bumper at the HIH raffle :grinpimp:

Oh man...an aux fuel tank! And if you get the shower/bathroom in a box thing figured out...I'm getting all giddy thinking about it!

Hahahaha.. True Story. Well said

I had to go back and look. You're right. I was thinking my front was $750. It was$250 to Dallas. Still, not priced for faint of heart. Worth every penny though. It's why I'm on the list

Ben, I've been following this thread pretty closely, but can't remember if the swingout can be locked/latched in the open position so it doesn't slam closed again if parked on an angle.

No lock or latch needed. The gas springs hold it open, even when parked at extreme angles

is it a common gas spring? i.e. did you use one that shares a part number with our hood strut or something along those lines that will be easy to remember when it comes time to replace?

No, none of the springs on the hatch or hood would be strong enough.
There is however a part number on the spring and I will order in bulk for replacements. These are 150lb springs and the only ones I found with steel eyelets rather than plastic.

Has production started on these? I'd love to have mine before HIH but that's looking more like wishful thinking?
Still working on gathering all the parts and hardware. Production will start soon but it is highly unlikely I will have very many done before HIH unfortunately.
Sorry!

There is a local guy attending HIH this year so at least want to get a rear bumper mounted on his rig so I can show it off.

so while we're on the subject, once you get production up and running what do you anticipate your build time per bumper will be, and how many do you think you can do at a time?
