so while we're on the subject, once you get production up and running what do you anticipate your build time per bumper will be, and how many do you think you can do at a time?
It's looking like 6-8 hours to build.
Right now my day job is the limiting foctor! I only have the evenings and weekend to build bumpers but am working on making this a full time deal.
Its tough to get the bumpers out in a timely manner when all I have is the weekends. If I was doing this full time it would take about a month to get through the list but as it sits now with a full time job it will take much longer.
I plan to hit it hard after HiH and if I can get some completed before I will. I made an order for 20 today but it will likely be 2-4 weeks before I see the parts.
Thanks again for everyone's patients! This bumper will not disappoint.
Ben.

i'm in no hurry. was more curious than anything.

I'm in a hurry;)

So are we looking at fall before these are ready?

Gracias

Ben.

I admire your efforts and hard work. A full time job and making bumpers for the masses sounds like no easy task. I saw your hitch design. Do you have a hitch rating? I intend to pull a overland trailer and need something I can trust. Your bumper is on the list when the time comes. Great work.

There is no rating on the hitch because of the cost to have it rated IIRC. It's strong enough for most applications a lay person would run across.

I'm going to hit it hard after HIH,
So they will start shipping out mid To end of August and hopping to be through the list by November.
I will do my best to get these out in a timely manner.

No rating as is with most after market options. I can't really say much on the matter for legality reasons but I towed this trailer around loaded with bumpers (about 5500lbs) without issue.

Hey Ben..

Looks like you put the 16's back on (pic above) What are you running in the tire dept - looks like 315/75r16 BFG ko2's ???

What are your thoughts with this set up? Got any side shots?

Do you miss this truck already?

You are correct,
These were the tires the new buyer purchased and had me install before pick up.
I didn't drive much with this set up just drove home the tire shop however I ran this size before switching to the 18" tundra wheels.
I preferred the narrower 285/75r18 which were 34.8x11.2 I believe. Much better fit and had no rubbing with that size, that size was the only reason I bumped up to an 18" wheel.

Yes I do miss the 100! It was hard watching that one drive away!
I love the Tacoma so far but I plan to buy a newer 100 for the wife in the next year or two

Ben, you may want to edit your first post to include pricing information.
I will do this when I get back from Colorado, I'm hopping to get some good pics up as well.
Just finished up a rear for a fellow mud member to show off at HIH,
We went with a silver on the main bumper and black swing out and caps.
