i didn't read it that way. i read it as minus 70 when removing factory, plus 170 when adding Dissent. net gain of 100.

Not ball at all. Thanks for the clarification

i could be wrong, will wait for ben to clarify, but that's just how i read it.

I'm certain you are right Dutch. I couldn't imagine the bumper having a net loss. 100 lbs net gain makes way more sense. Thats still pretty small considering.

I wonder if Ben removed and weighed the OEM spare tire carrier and counted it's weight in the "weight lost" category? I see no reason to leave it bolted up there since a tire won't fit in that location any more.

not sure, but i know the crossmember is cut out, so that may save some weight as well.

With the removal of the crossmember, factory receiver and bumper skin it's about 70-80lbs. The spare tire carrier could be removed and you would likley loose another 20-30lbs. However,
I do plan to eventually offer a aux fuel tank or water tank, maybe even a spare parts box that will utilize the factory tire carrier so hang on to if if you remove it.

I still have to get a final weight on everything but it looks like there will be about 100lbs added with the tire carrier not including the tire or jack.

You just peaked my interest. I would absolutely love an aluminum, food grade, water tank that would utilized the stock spare tire space.

How do you plan in building these if you sold your 100 though? are you going to do them in the next couple months?

yeah, but tire weight is just moving, not going away. aux fuel would be awesome, but aren't there already aux tanks that go there for the 105's sold in Australia? just thinking out loud. with tire moved, might be easy to just source one of those and fit it.

I think the issue is getting them here in the US. If I recall, they wont ship to the US because adding fuel tanks is against federal law. That might not be the exact reason, but I remember reading that they wouldn't ship here.

I think he meant a jerry can holder on the bumper -- that can also be considered aux I would think

I dont think so.

"I do plan to eventually offer a aux fuel tank or water tank, maybe even a spare parts box that will utilize the factory tire carrier so hang on to if if you remove it."

So hes saying it will utilize the stock tire carrier, i.e. the small winch to lift stuff up under.

This is correct, it will mount In the factory tire location.
And yes, the problem is those are sold as fuel tanks so epa regulations would not allow in some if not all states.
If it is sold as a water tank it would be doable. The 105 chassis is different as well, I believe the 105 shares the chassis with the 80 series.
My close friend has a 100 series so I still have acsess to one anytime. These will be a while before i have them developed,
Don't know when but it is in the plans.

There will be a jerry can holder on the bumper as well as rotopax mounts but I was talking about using the factory mount under the rear.

Is the build of the fuel and or water holder closer in the near future?

The accessories swing arm will be in the near future but I do have some cool ideas that will take a bit to develop, I don't want to rush on that so that's why I'm getting the bulk of the bumpers done with the tire carrier first.
This way you guys have your bumper and tire and I can take my time to develop different accessories.

Can I get my name on this list.... I'm in Memphis TN, drive an 06 LX, and I'd love to get in line.
