So with a lot of thought I have decided not to offer the DIY kits anymore, now that this is turning into more than a side business i need to to make sure anything with the dissent logo on it is perfect.
Smart move, imo.

Finally got my bumper on- really liking the end result. Thanks Ben for a solid, well thought out and great looking design.

These look great and you've got so much momentum. This might be premature, but once you get in your groove...

Ever consider offering an aluminum bumper in the same style? For a premium of course since materials and fabrication are more expensive.

Perhaps just for the wing sections?

Not really, I'm not sure if I would ever offer a production aluminum bumper but possibly custom one,
I do plan to get the shop set up for more aluminum work in the future.

Off to Baertrax to finally get mine installed.

XR-Aluma Pro P/P gun... nothing better, IMO!

Definitely going with either the Miller 350p or Lincoln 350p with the p/p gun, just got to decide if I'm going blue or red.

B,

I'm Miller all the way for shop machines. Lincoln all the way for field machines.

I love my XMT 350 w/ the pulse and P/P converter. (I bought it a year before the pulse machines were introduced so I had to buy the converters) BUT works flawlessly.

I run a 350p everyday at work and love it. Its an awesome machine. If you read any negative reviews on it, 9 out of 10 the person using it doesn't know how to set it up. It brings true meaning to "mig like tig beads"
Minimal if any cleanup of spatter . I have not used it though on aluminum. But on steel it's my weapon of choice... if I upgrade from my 252 it will be for a 350p at my home shop.
Nice work and congrats on your successes.

Always been a miller guy as well but when shopping for either the Miller 252 or Lincoln 256 the Lincoln had some features the Miller didn't so I went Lincoln and have been very happy with it.
However, I have heard the Miller has better pulsed capabilitys.

I'll second that on the GX470. about the only options are importing an ARB made for the Prado LC and chopping away at the fenders or getting the behemoth from Southern Off-Road in Baton Rouge. and that one is just enormous.

Real time help please:

Does the mounting bracket have a piece that goes rearward, horizontally, that fits inside of the frame rail? The mount has two slots cut that this small piece has tabs to fit into. I just don't want to weld this wrong and cannot find a photo of the back side of the mounting bracket.

call or TEXT ben if you're needing 'real time' help with it. PM me if you don't have his number and he isn't answering emails b/c this isn't his primary job. i got a call back rather quickly when we ran into an issue mid-install.

I looked through the pics again and found my answer. I was correct on where the small plate goes. I can see even in this photo and can see where the front welds were ground smooth in another pic.

Not saying you guys that have already put one together have done a bad job but for quality control purpose will no longer have the kits.
Sorry and hope you understand.

Have any DIY kits left in stock?
