Welp, after some banging, cutting, and grinding. It's all good. I only ended up using 1 spacer and everything pretty much lined up to my liking. I could fiddle with it a bit more but it's better than 99% of aftermarket crap they put out. Ben, you did a really good job. All the hardware is top notch. All accessible. I am missing 3 screws/nuts for one of the LED lights, but that's not your fault. I think it got missing during that crazy shipping debacle. No worries, a trip to the hardware store will fix that.

And while the winch will be a bit lighter (a lot if using steel cable) with the line off the winch, remember - getting that little set screw (that holds the end of the cable on the drum) started is a lot easier before the winch is buried in the bumper.

That paint looks really good! Is that the body (Thunder Cloud?) or the OE bumper paint that you matched? Can't wait to see this one all mounted up. ;)

I don't know the name of the color, but yes. It's the OE color.

Looks good Jp! Also digging the grill!

thx Ben! one hell of a bumper -- super easy install too

I vote to paint it to get the look you have now!!! Bare metal gray/silver or whatever you would call that! Goes very well with the white.

thx that's an idea.. i was planning to paint the 3 main modular sections of the bumper white to match the truck '056' and paint the bull bar and 2 front bumper covers flat black.

we'll see.. giving it all some thought and trying to find a good paint shop local :)

It's hard to match white!
Telling you, it looks awesome like that already! Bare metal gray all the way!

I did the 2 tone approach. I like the way it turned out with the pearl white. I'll be using the blue accent color on other pieces as the build continues.

Don't worry about the paint too much. As long as panels are not adjacent to each other, it could be off a bit and you won't see the difference too much. Bumpers are always kind of off even on new cars.

Blue accent?!?!

I don't have anything useful on the Blueberry weight but, can weigh in on the exposed hardware thing... I mentioned this to ACC Garage - the guys doing the powder coating and installation for me - and Brian said "already on it" and later sent this pic...

Brian powder coated the hardware while he was coating the brackets and fair lead, in satin black.

The bolt heads aren't invisible, but blend to the point of being pretty subtle.

That looks killer! Love it with round lights!

There are some good supporting threads around this main bumper thread; Dissent Offroad bumper install instructions and Dissent offroad bumper pic thread. But it would be cool if one or some of DIY pioneers could or would collectively post up a DIY weld thread. Ive seen a few pic's here and there but the DIY project on its own would be helpful (and interesting). Like seeing the full DIY kit laid out in its pre-welded puzzle, and steps involved to weld this up at home (should we be so bold to attempt it).

Ben- you might consider including the links to the install thread and picture thread in your sig line or page 1 post #1 somewhere below the pricing info.

 cheers

Ben, you need to hurry up and get the 100 series bumpers out quick! Too many people stopping and asking where I got this thing!
Today and 80 guy ask me about it and I imagine modifying it for an 80 wouldn't be so hard since you've done to the tundra already! I sent him to the forums to look for you.
Good luck and keep up the good work. And hurry up with the rear!!! Ha ha!

I'll see if I have enough pics for that! Maybe. It really is an incredibly easy project!

Ive checked and turns out I do not have pics to show the full assembly of the bumper! Have a few scattered that don't show much detail and skips too much, sorry!

I also had to use the shackle mount for the first time last night! Not off roading! Was coming off the freeway and at the end of the exit ramp there was a broken down silverado blocking the way. I went around, hooked him up to the mount and dragged his truck to the side of the road. I hooked it there because I don't have a winch in it yet. Hwy patrol showed up as I was starting to pull.
