I don't see those images either.

Ok I don't know what's wrong, I can't see your's either, but I'm seeing them fine in other threads... Are you guys seeing them on mobile or something?
Click on the image link and it opens in a new tab.

Strange... I'm seeing them small, then click and looks like this:

Looks great! Are you going to color match the rear bumper as well?

Yes, I will be matching the rear as well. This is a city warrior. It needs to look good. My offloading is hopping the curve on a right handed turn. Although I did go up to the Blue Ridge mountains last week. I couldn't believe how capable this vehicle can be. We had to drive up 3 miles up a dirt road to start our hike. People were crawling up the mountain. I gotta say, I've never been happier with a vehicle than this baby.

R71, do you have wheel spacers? If so what thickness? Thx

I did. I know what people say about them but I had them on my FJ for years without problems and I don't do the "typical" offloading like the hard core guys. I bout the spidertrax from Slee. I had Spidertrax on my FJ and I liked the quality. I think it's 1 and 1.5. You'll have to verify with Slee.

@Manhattan Did you opt to trim the sheet metal lip below grill/head lights? Also - did you do any of the prep / paint work for the front or just dropped at a shop? Sorry if I missed this info in a different post or thread. Thanks and looks great!

It's actually my shop. I run an auto body shop here in Atlanta. There is no trimming involved. I however mounted a winch. That required me to notch the filler pice you are referring to. It's actually called a upper bumper reinforcement. I don't know how others did it but I couldn't get the winch in without notching it. When you put the grill back on, you can't really see it.

No trimming. When the OE bumper is off, just tape off the area above the lip (good to prevent scratches while fitting/adjusting the new bumper) and paint it then.

I think Satin Black works the best for hiding stuff like that lip. There's almost zero gloss, but still a true saturated black. Flat Black ends up looking more grey.

Once you get it all mounted up, and on the ground, you're gonna notice that you see a LOT more of the suspension, steering, axles... I used a long cylindrical brush to really clean all of that. Then, I taped off a few things and used a section of cardboard to block spray... and sprayed bunch more of that satin black

At the beginning I didn't offer it as an option, I have had a few guys cut that lip out so they can run the pre 03 bumper which slides under the grill and give a tighter look.
Maybe you could chime in on this since your a body guy r71? Do you see any problem with trimming that lip? 98-02 don't have one and some bumper manufacturers require it to be removed on the 03-07 and all lx470.

I'm assuming we are all talking about #6. I don't see any reason why you couldn't trim it. I only had to notch mine to clear the winch.

Yes, I do cut the bumpers to fit around it but I have had a few guys that have cut it and ordered the pre 03 bumper. With it cut it does give a little cleaner look and also more adjustability,

I"m going to paint that part when I get a chance. I should have done it before putting on the bumper. Brainfart.... I think it will look good once it's painted.

Here you can see the difference on my 00, the bumper is able to slide underneath the grill and headlights.
If someone with the 03-07 LC or 98-07 lx could post a pic at a similar angle for comparison that would be great.
