UPDATE!

Alright guys, skids are finalized and aluminum suppliers are in place!
I will update the first page with details on the plates.
Whoever is ready to buy please pm me with your PayPal info, contact info and if you are in for the 3 or 4piece set.
Due to current aluminum prices the current price on a full set is $1250 + shipping uncoated. I prefer to ship uncoated but coating may be an option.
The 4th skid will be free fo current of future front dissent bumper owners.
We will just have to go with the honor system for this. Please do not order the 4th if you have no intention on running the dissent bumper!

Hey guys, should have the aluminum skid plates close to finalized this weekend. I'm going to focus on internally gusseted 1/4" aluminum but may do a run of 3/16 steel as well.
I'd like to see how much interest there would be in either one, aluminum or steel? It will be a 3 piece set or 4 piece set if you have a dissent front bumper.
I have to finish up the current bumper orders before I can start full production but would like to gauge interest to see how large the first run will be.
Here a teaser pic ;)[/ATTACH]

@benc Will these plates work with the Slee Diff Drop?

This is actually something that I was just talking to my wife about as we were bombing through the snow in Yosemite last weekend.

Assuming these are as well thought out as your other products then I would be in for a set.

Tom

Extremely interested.

Any idea if the aluminum skids will be tougher than the factory steel ones?

The aluminum skids will be tougher than most aftermarket steel skids ;)
Great!

So I still have the stock bumpers on my LX, but I plan on ordering your front bumper later this year for sure as that's been on my list for a while now.

Do I just order 3 skids now and the 4th one later when I get your bumper? I may just order all 4 anyway just to have the 4th piece ready to go when I install your bumper.

So this works without a diff drop (unlike the Slee skid system)?

The skids are designed around the diff drop but will supply spacers for non diff drop applications. you could order the 4 with the skids or the bumper.

sub for pricing

Count me in for aluminium with your front bumper. Let me know if you need an '06 LX to test fit anytime soon. ;);)

Cheers,

Very interested. skids are on my list before bumpers.

very interested, hopefully you are able to keep the cost pretty low.

I'm super interested in hearing more general info, like how the 3 pc. and 4 pc. system differs from each other, what the internal gussets are and rough or approximate pricing. I'm running an 06 lx with factory ahc, heavier king rear springs, mildly tightened torsion bars and your awesome steel front bumper. Also..... any thoughts on offering rock sliders as part of the package too???!!!

The 4th piece will tie the bumper to the front skid. I should have some detailed pics soon.

Very interested, excited to see more info.

Are you planning to utilize the stock cross member or replace it with one integral to the skid? I don't like the idea of having to remove the cross member to drop the skid. Though my factory skids and cross member have taken a beating.
