Wow! Nice work. What's your ride; e.g. tires, gear, etc.

That sure is a beautiful place to ride!
Yes, we enjoy Tahoe very much. My wife always says that being in the mountains never gets old and I agree.
My road bike here is a Cannondale Synapse Carbon I upgraded with Cannondale HG carbon wheels on Continental Grand Prix 5000 AS TR 35mm tires and Ultegra Di2. Crank is sub-compact FSA 46/30 with 11-34 cassette.

"Nobody remembers their first concussion" = LOL!!! I was about 12 or 13 YO (circa 1977) riding in the woods on a 20" wheeled.....bike.....I was out cold for about a minute or so.....took a jump I had taken about 100 times before but landed in the brush aside the trail instead of in the trail....

I know all this 'cause my friends told me..... 😀

Exploded my collarbone a few weeks ago, got it bolted back together and finally got back on the trainer bike in the basement today. Definitely not ready to lean on it full weight/full time, but it's doable on the trainer. Another couple weeks and I hope to be back on dirt.

Another great day for a ride.

First ride today in month (!) thanks to a good dose of gastro, and a bit of bad weather.

Good news is the gastro shaved 5 kg or so off me, and I'm trying hard to keep it off by being better with food quantities.

Managed to fire out a 25km ride today, at an average of 23km/hr going gently (first 5km was spot on time for normal) so that was a win. Will try to get back out with the club this week, which will be a good test.

Spanked out 12.4 miles in the woods with nearly 900 feet of climbing. Oak leaves are down, and so are the acorns. Some spots feel like riding atop marbles on ice. Including the spot where I dumped the bike, pronto. Haha.

Took precautions, too. Lowered the tire pressure, slowed down, too. But not there. Coming downhill and turning, washed out the rear wheel. Boom.

Aside from the spill, the ride was great! Shorter ride on Wednesday.
