Fast road ride with the club this evening; got dropped with about 5.5km left to go on the return, and before that just couldn't roll turns on the return so just hung off the back, about a bike length off the back so minimal benefit of slipstream.

30km at 29.4km/hr... 2mins off doing an average of 30km/hr.... I was actually quite happy with it as that was my first club ride in about 5 months, and the first fast (rather than endurance focused) ride. Looked on Strava, and I'd got 2nds and 3rds on various parts of the ride (although not on the smaller segments) showing the overall pace the ride was at.

I've been using my emtb to ride to work the last few days. What a great way to commute. It's only a 30 min ride by normal bike. But, doing in 20 min on the ebike is pretty nice. I hate riding in traffic, so any saved time there is a plus to me.

Out again this morning. Amazing fall weather. Dang, those yellow leaves falling, backlit by the sun and blue skies. I had to just stop the bike and marvel at the woods.
Post peak foliage, but still peak day!

402 miles on wooded trails in MA, VT and CT ytd.

Might be hard to put in another 100 miles as it will be weather and temperature dependent between now and New Year’s Day.

We’ll see. Out next Monday.

Another day on my newest toy. Still having a ton of fun on it. A 2 hour ride off road is about all my shoulder can handle at this point. So, it's opened up bigger miles and trails that I haven't been able to ride in quite awhile.

The Yeti SB115 is not a UDH bike but I was able to get an adapter bushing from a dude on FB and install Transmission.

Got in a 19.5mi multi-surface ride today, first on the new 700c x 40mm tires - it's a different bike, in the best way! Rolls so much easier / takes less effort than the 650b x 47mm. Only got 1 photo on the bridge over I-40.

It’s going to be super windy on race day so I’m changing up my route to do 60 instead of 80…. I don’t want to suffer that much!

I mixed in errands and fun riding today on the hot rod, my Spesh Vado. 75* at 11;30AM, it's impossible to not ride around for the hell of it. Anyway, final stop at the grocery.

Hadn't ridden in a couple weeks. It has been a bad month for me taking spills.. took a spill on my Bike riding along the Bike path to the beach hit a rut and I went down. didn't get hurt. But went on a Motorcycle dirt bike ride was riding on sand fell twice on the same side the second time I heard and felt the crack on my left side rib. OUCH! laying low for now.

Rolling our neutral for 4.5 miles.

I was in the RR with one gear.

I tried for 80 but the environment got intense. Opted for the 58+ 2 to bump up to a more respectable 60 mile…

It was outstanding today. Absolutely overwhelming how beautiful the terrain was (even though it’s my home terrain)…. The valley erupting into its grasslands stage…. With the Sky Islands surrounding…

So awesome to watch the fast pros who show up for these small desert races. They get it. Super fast and at elevation and a place to sneak away with very little fanfare.

The way they glide by in their Tron-like formations and consistent pedaling cadence.

It’s so fücking great to witness as a novice rider. And they always give the as they are blazing by.

Good job man! I was supposed to race yesterday also. But, I was sick all week. I went out and did 16 miles on some easy trails and was absolutely cooked! No way i could've done the 55 miles I had signed up for.

Havent ridden in 6 years, great to be back on a bike. Still needs a drivetrain and a seat that isn't cable tied to the frame, but she still rolls fast enough. This 29" front business is pretty great.

Quick afternoon spin.

My trainer used to live in town but he just recently moved to Tucson an hour and ten mins away.

Ergo, we are moving to one-day-a-week sessions but extending from 1 to 2 hr sessions.

Ugh. I was hammered today after two hours with him plus the ride up and ride back.

Didn't take any pictures, but got in a great, relaxed ride today on a rail trail and greenway. Another day of perfect weather, and no political BS while riding. Spotted a heron hunting in a creek, and got a ginormous falling sycamore leaf plastered to my face at one point.
