I got a ride in prior to Thanksgiving, found one of my favorite local easy dirt trails was open again - it got clobbered by Helene. Haven't ridden since and I will not be riding for at least 2 more weeks due to having another gall bladder attack over the holiday, which resulted in surgery today to remove it. O well.![]()
good job on the miles. After a week off the bike doing other shìt was able to sneak a ride in…
Em’s new Falconer Ti ATB:
And this ride “officially” put me over 2000 miles ridden for the year. (At least the rides where I kept track). Not too shabby for a novice rider as well as one month that I didn’t ride at all due to my concussion and busted scapula.
good job on the miles.
are your riding thru a graveyard?

Damn, it has been way too long. Nothing to post but my shame. Baby steps back into riding shape….

True! I’m not used to hitting anything under 10 miles but thinking more short hits a week until the snow flies might be the answer.Dude. Much better than me having to ride a damn trainer after 12 hours wrenching on LCs when I'd **much** rather be pedaling outside in the sun!
I actually love small rides.
Welp, winter here has me in the basement. Today’s ride:This bullshít.
But damn, it has to happen or I lose my mind. I watched Michael Jordan 88-91 dunk compilations while pedaling. So lucky I was an adolescent through his entire career and could appreciate what I was witnessing.
Very inspiring now looking back 30+ years.

I did my first recon of a new road recently built by the Forest Service …. It’s a super awesome new detour that takes you to the Arizona Trail….
But …. I didn’t know that…. Ergo, I was on the wrong bike…. Super no bueno. I really needed a suspension bike. It was a long slog.
It was also my first ride over 7 miles utilizing my new clipped-in situation.., let’s just say that I have very bloody knees and elbows.

You'll get used to the clipless the more you ride with them. I'm by no means an MTB "expert" but found over time that you start anticipating when/if you need to clip out.
winter schminter. get a fat bike
