What were you running from? A bear or something?A pity me post but I haven't been able to ride much at all lately. Suffered a quad strain while running last month. Took two weeks off on foot with some light cycling and thought I was fine to get back to work only to reaggravate it.
This time I'm on a 4 week PT block with no running or cycling whatsoever. I usually slow down anyway at this time of year but to come to a screeching halt has not been good for my mental health to say the least.![]()

No sir, no bears in Texas that I’m aware of. I got this bright idea to train for the annual Dallas Marathon being held next month. I was going to run the half and just ramped up too much, too soon.

Same here. With the weather changing, my riding goes indoors to the basement. Try to do 3x weekly through March, 30 mins HIIT @ 20+ mph. Keeps the weight off and me, fit.My riding these days during the week….

Wow, more power to you guys that ride trainers inside.
I finally sold mine last year. I just never used it.
Noting beats riding outside. This time of year I usually head to a spin class or do a lunch ride depending on weather.
Unfortunately, my local gym removed all the spin equipment and our spin instructor had to move to another gym across the valley.
I’ve been spinning for 17 years. I did it to stay in shape off season as I fell off the fitness level really quickly once the mountain biking ended when I turned 45. Now, it’s just part of staying in shape year round.Boo.
I’m obligated to spin. It’s almost mandatory for me to pedal daily. If I don’t, my fūcking brain blows up.
