Better keep your eyes on the road (watched the video) :D

Looks great man! Now it's time to get a lot of new desktop pictures! :D

BTW, where's all the snow? Don't they measure snow in feet around there?

haha thanks man, my buddy was filming form the passenger seat haha :)

Snow was up at lolo pass, maybe like 3000 feet, not very high up.
It had been pretty dry the last 3 weeks, except a few showers :)

Alot more snow higher up haha :D

Destin,
saw the parking position of your wipers in the video....
is this the normal parking position ?
Mine are different, they rest horizontal to the windshild frame.
Cheers

Hey Destin, softop door question, when you bought the weatherstrip kit from SOR, did it come with the weatherstrip channel? I'm guessing not but would like to know.. Thanks.

I set the blades so they pan evenly from right to left when the blades swing.
My old motor and the new ones i found a while back ( dunno if they are available any more ) had the same even "swipe" angle of motion, is the switch supposed to park them higher? Is the park position adjustable somewhere?

Let me know :D

:meh:...you have two wiper motors, I only one, don`t know if it`s adjustable on yours.
We need John ( Living in the Past) he`s the Cruiser Guru :D
Found a pic , the wipers are parked on the left side, ( mine are on the right 1973)... would be easy in that position to fix the blades in the horizontal position , I think. *

I looked and did not find anyway to adjust the parked position, so i think that is jsut the way they are :)

I did put in the windscreen wire retainers in, much nicer than having the wires hang down :) Installed my map light too!

They are parked that way due to the status of the vehicle designation LHD or RHD.

There have been RHD wipers on LHD vehicles. Destin has them on right. The adjustability is where on the stud you mount the wiper arm at rest.

1973 had a completely different wiper setup with one motor and linkages on the top. That changed as well in 75 when it moved to the bottom of the WS. Furthermore on his model you really can't make them more vertical as the wiper will hit the WS on the ends.

Wes has some on his '64, have you tried contacting mot?

no. mounting bracket must come from japan, central- south america, mid east, etc. mot might have some, owens export might, spector might..

i wonder if you can get the fogs from a dealer.. i might have to stock up.

61 thru 67 had two wipers motors. 68 thru 74 had a single wiper motor at the top. After that single motor mounted to the bottom. FJ25 had two vavuum operated wipers. This was for the US market. I do know of one electric wipered FJ25 but that was imported from hawaii. To adjust the wipers just tighted the wiper arms. The same as later styles.

Mot is no longer in Japan, so he isn't a source for JDM parts anymore. OEM did have the fog light but not brackets. Steve at Owen's Export did have some of those. I do believe someone was selling perfect copy fog light and brackets that looked close on Ebay. Somewhere in the $65. Can't remember if that was apiece or each. Smoking deal a pair. I bought some from Steve thru Ebay for $75 set with brackets and was happy to get them.
