So I’m rebuilding slowly. All the vsv’s are gone but I just noticed that the short vacuum line off the pulsation dampener runs to that mass of vacuum pipes under the intake and the pipe that it attaches to runs down and used to go to the VSV closest
to the firewall. Should I cap this off and don’t worry about it? Thx. D

Yup you are correct. That would be the fuel pressure regulator that I’m referring to. Is my stupidity showing again? It looks just like the pulsation dampener and is attached to a fuel line…. Anyway the question still holds. If I’m to do away with all of these vsv’s, that seems like a pretty important vacuum line to cap off. I have the 1989 FJ62 so this might have some bearing on the question as well. I appreciate the help.
