Got any pics of the warm white? How much for all 3 and the doors?
LJ_24 said:Do you want the doors to be warm white as well?
Did you check out the 80 series LED madness thread, pfran has a great kit in store if you are not picky about the "warm" white! Mine and pfran's kits are similar but he does not have additional color options and I believe he provides backup dome lights in the kits(which is a plus for those who want to be on the safe side in case a panel or bulb fails)
The price for the color matched warm white components to cover the whole 80 series is $54.90 shipped to your doorHigh powered 5050 SMD LED are what comes on the panels and bulbs, the diodes are 2-3 times larger than a regular SMD diode
$54.90 is for three panels and 4 bulbs? What do warm white look like?
Would these work for the brake lights also??
These would not work for brake lights because the brake lights are dual filament bulbs (1157) and the reverse and turn lights are single filament bulbs (1156). The 1157s allow you to have tail lights/running lights as well as brake lights.

Yeah that was a dumb question, I already knew the answer, I think what I was trying to ask was does anyone run LEDs
Mike I couldn't find any 194's on that site for the front marker lights, any idea where those could be?
I run after market tail lights so my brake and running lights are a grid of LEDs. I do have LED back up lights and LED turn signals. You can install an 1157 LED bulb for brake and tail but make sure they are as bright or brighter than stock. This is something you don't want to skimp on.

194s are the same as your license plate lights, dash illumination lights, and side marker lights.

As for the front side markers, I installed both JDM markers (with amber 194s) and replaced the 194 with a dual 1157 LED bulb.

what do you think about these for the tail lights?
I have no personal experience with that style for taillights.

and what about headlights would LED bulbs work in stock housings or would it scatter the light too much and run into the same problems as HID's in stock housings?
Sorry maybe for the stupid question but i Could find info on how you are dealing with voltage when putting leds in switches? How i understand the regular micro-bulbs are running on 12v and leds on 3.9v. And when putting Led in place of bulb there is no space to put a resistor. Any secrete?

Buy bulbs that are designed and packaged for 12v. Plug and play.
On a side note, there is still a voltage spike I need to handle because the LEDs are still only lasting a few months. When starting the truck, with the lights on, they all flicker so I assume this is the cause. This could also be a quality control issue as well but I need to rule out the flickering first.
