Narrow including the plastic covers on the hinge is 50 1/4 inches. Let me know if I can measure anything else.
If it’s 50+ here, then no...it won’t work

I was hopeful since the FJ60 is 54” across the widest part also.

The purist in me just threw up. Do it man! A quiet v8 swap would be a jaw dropping sleeper. I know nothing of a swap or what’s involved. I’m just the guy in the background chanting do it over and over.
Mines not carbureted, it’s the 5.7 vortec. I bought it this way, and I’m not sure that I would have chosen this route myself, but it has kind of grown on me.

That would be saweet, imagine the burnouts you could do with wheels like that.I've read your posts about why you are using an old SBC with a carb. But to me you may as well throw on some wood wagon wheels with metal bands as well to complete the theme.
And I am an old guy too. I actually had vehicles with carbs, some dual carbs.
