So a few updates. I’m now going for Certification to get this thing on the road.
4 link rear is almost complete. All that’s left to do is get the links fully welded by a certified tig welder and mount shocks. There’s a river run at the start of December that it needs to be at so it’s getting biffed together for that without body work etc.

Yeah mate only high stress joints that upon failure would result in loss of steering, braking etc. it’s a pain in the ass!

more updates. The old girls been built and on the tracks for almost a year now. Recently sold the 1kzt engine and bought a 1hdt/h55f combo. I rebuilt the gearbox last week and hope to get the new motor and box in by the end of the month

Unfortunately the genuine 1hz clutch couldn’t cope with the torque and started slipping, hopefully the 4 terrain holds up

Test run is complete, I had to ditch the genuine 1hz clutch as it didn’t hold up behind the 1hdt. It’s a whole different beast with the 1hdt in it

I finally bit the bullet and bought heim joints for the 4 link. Replacing bushes every 3 months gets a bit tedious

Been hacking away at the poor old thing again
The factory top was getting ruined by trees and banks etc so now we’ve got a sealed cage. I also aquired a warn 8274 cheap, threw a rebuild kit and gigglepin main shaft at it and lengthened the drum
