Great updates; project is really coming along. That's a lot of the 'little' stuff getting banged off the list... Often this stuff takes even more time than the 'big' stuff.

Thanks and yeah they do take a lot of time, but I find this kinda stuff more fun anyways. Tend to zone out and suddenly notice it's been 4 hours...

And on another note, the 60 booster does fit, just has to be upside down...:cautious:

Couldn't be any larger diameter. It's pretty much touching everything. Like young Steven on a Danish pub crawl :hillbilly:

Don't see that making any difference to it's function???

but I won't be tossing the old 40 series one just yet.

80 series booster fits the same way. Ideally a spacer would go between the booster and fire wall. City Racer sells one... Toyota couldn’t figure one out without a Vin for a pickup.

How thick a spacer are we talking? Something out of rectangular tubing with a second set of studs?

Booster's studs are long enough to put a 1/2" spacer in, but that would make it interfere with the firewall rib.

It tucks in behind the rib at the moment, so if it stuck out much further it'd probably hit.
Other than the clutch mc being a pita to change out, I don't see any major issues with where it sits, spacer won't really help that.

I'll have a look again tomorrow but i think I'm going to just say ****it and bolt it on, so I can move on to something else.

I bolted it on, I looked at the spacer you mentioned, easy enough to make, but it wouldn't help I don't think.

Anyways, ran some battery cables and it started with the key....but not before I had what was probably the last thing I'll be able to blame on the previous owner, apparently they felt when removing the old full current ammeter, that tieing the two ring connectors together and then taping would make a good connection.

It really didn't...

Even 1/4” would help.

I went without.

Only thing a spacer would gain me is marginally better access to the one clutch master bolt, not that big a deal now that everything has been apart and never seized.

Brakes can wait tho, I'm not looking forward to buying 4 calipers and a mc...

Attempting to make one good ws frame out of 5 sounds like way more fun. :bang:

I also went without... gave up after Toyota couldn’t figure out where to find one. As far as they could tell they don’t exist. If I had a vin that’d all change...

I miss parts ‘guys’ that knew what was on the shelves. Somehow part ‘pickers’ can find a box on the shelf the computer tells them it’s on aren’t quite the same.

Some stuff.

Pedal pads from a stretcher...fit just about perfectly

As my mom would say looking at her offspring, not my finest work, but I'm not going through that bull**** again. Might be the last time for the molds, getting a little beat up, but other than some cosmetics the fenders turned out not too bad.

Been a while since I had to align a 40 clip. Still a pain in the snapper. the fender supports aren't in yet so it's all a bit wobbly, but getting there.

I do like these updates.

Stretcher pedal pads eh, as we speak Ol Mertyle is crashing down a staircase as a nurse shakes her head in disbelief.

Colour is spot on. Speaking of green.... any brave frogs dare raise their voices yet?

Color isn't bad, I have about 5 varieties going, I figgered I'd go with whichever is closer once I get it out in the sun. So far armor coat green is the winner. Also the cheapest so it's a solid win win.

I haven't heard the frogs yet, the pommie bastard says he has, but it's still early.

I'll try to plot a pissup for prime hunting season. May just have to face not having a fire and frog hunt at the same time. Guess we'll see how the weather goes. Hasn't been any rain for two months now...so I bet the fire ban will be early.

But maybe we'll get the wet June...which tends to put the frogs back to bed for a while.

Really is a bitch to plan.

June sounds good to me... I'll make a trip over and help cut down on the number of invasive frogs... and perhaps park something in the lawn...
