Blasphemy, i know, but i picked up a dirt cheap powerstroke to be a beater/hauler for the lexus to some of the local wheelin spots. Its a 95 2wd, 5 speed that wouldnt start. Couple new fuel tanks and it runs like a champ. lol

on another note, anyone had much experience with fuel boiling in the tank? i was fighting that yesterday

This canister may help your fuel boiling issue. Fuel will still boil, but should escape without building pressure due to old, OEM canister with stuck valves:

I put one of these in and it did not fix the problem

Well damn lol. Ive never had the problem before this trip. I usually keep the tank almost full and it wasnt this time and i basically ran the ac all day because my woman the kiddo were in there. Maybe the combo of low fuel level and ac running got everything too hot.

I have also been meaning to cut some holes in the hood to let some heat out so maybe i need to do that sooner than later.

Look up land cruiser Phil's fix for this. It seems to be working well but don't have enough high elevation runs on it yet. It happens when I go to Moab or the Sierra's

Mine does it at high altitude on one trail regardless of fuel level. I changed the canister about 5 years ago but it is doing it again this summer. After I let the pressure off and let the truck sit for 15 min or so it doesn’t do it anymore. I will prob change it out again to see if it fixes it. I think just the amount of ethanol and high altitude does it for me. This happens around 10500 or so

didnt get many pics this weekend, it was cold and rainy a lot of the day. broke 3 jeeps and a buggy in our group so it was a pretty good weekend lol. planning on reworking my rear suspension now so i may be down a short while. its time to replace the original 150k mi control arms and bushings and the 10 year old shocks/springs.

where we rode if anyone is interested... Good Evening Ranch Off Road Park
