It's starting to look a lot like Christmas...Again.
I've never owned anything with a turbo before. I'm pretty excited. Here's my question. You can plainly see that the turbo intake is dual plane, and the exhaust manifold is dual plane, so where do I put the EGT sensor? I'm assuming anywhere I put it, I will only read two cylinders at a time. Anybody?
If you can choose ( If I can choose ) will be in the exhaust manifold .. always pre turbo .. more close to your head ( cylinders ) more accuracy the reading you have ..
I'm thinking there's something wrong here... Can't put my finger on it though....
Unfortunately, I can put my finger on it.
Looking great, that is going to be fine motor when it is finished.
Do you have a pic of your exhaust manifold? If they are mostly equal length runners than either side on the manifold would be fine. If yours is not equal length (mine isn't), put the probe on the shortest length runner (for me the it's the rear port/passage, cylinder 4). You'll get the hotter reading which will allow you to better monitor and respond to when to back off the fuel.

If I'm seeing that pic right it looks like 2-3 are the shorter runners so IMO I'd put a probe on that side right before the turbo flange.
... Does anyone know what this is for? I looked through the manual for about an hour last night and I can't find anything about it. It is not in any pictures of the head and there is no mention of it.
