i hear you on that one, it would def. would be a good move on your part to do the "husband thing" if you want to stay a husband for long ;p

you guys just need to go ahead and make plans to come to Tellico for the ride then, that is going to be a fun trip

glad to see your coming matt :D, I am planning on bringing my dog this time as well...... what kinda pup do you have??

if you are making the late group that is fine, I might be leading that run up the mountain as well, because at the moment it looks if though andy won't be able to make it.
JP is right, I am not going to be able to make this one. I really hate that it has worked out that way but with a full plate and 10 straight weekends booked, something had to give. I don't want to risk it being Tellico so Cullowhee comes out with the shortest straw... :crybaby:

Sorry for unloading the late trip duties JP, good luck with back to back ascents to the bald. I hope it is dry for the trip.

You guys have a blast and take lots of pics!!

yeah we are going to try and make either the Tellico trip or the annual meeting... prob not both. it will just depend on our schedule.

sweet Gehn!! you got that axle rebuilt?? if you need any help getting stuff done, I am available tomorrow, just let me know

hope you make it man!!

on a side note the weather looks great for this trip guys, I am so tired of this heat I can't wait to get up there, should be in the 70's up on the balds and plenty of cool mountain streams to cool off in after the day rides!

looking forward to it

I'm planning on bringing the Gas grill for those who would like to grill. Other than that you will be on your own.

If we can find some water nearby I'll have the shower for those who stink.

Other things to note. Bring plenty of water.

the first night on top of the bald there will be NO WATER, so as troll says bring plenty of water........... the second night we will be camped by a nice bold stream :D

I figure the is really the last trip i could make before i head over seas  so i really want to try and make it. I have the right side of the front axle rebuilt, I still need to do the left side and I wanted to swap the full floater under the truck. I am going to try and make it up to Alan's tomorrow after work (around 4:30-5) and at least finish the front axle. If i get an extra hand I may try to tackle the rear axle too, but we'll have to see.

Marshall, are your tools stilll up at Alan's? I'd like to borrow them again.

Also, i have a propane skillet I can bring, i just don't have the fuel tank or anything. It's great for eggs, bacon, pancakes etc. I can bring it if it would be handy. just let me know!

bold?

Does this mean hot shower before bed?

yeah it is def. big enough for you to run your shower off of..........

hey marshall if you can bring your chain saw, last time I was up there, there were a few spots where my 62 barely fit due to overhanging trees, now that see is SOA I might need to do some trail maintance :D

If anyone goes to Alan's and is going to make it on this trip please get my vise grips from him and bring them on the trip.
JP is definately right about the low trees I barely cleared last time and I know he is a good bit higher than me now.

Hope you can make it Gehn! Looks like it will be just me, my friend cant make it. Still considering bringing the dog though. She hasn't really been on a trip with me but she is a great companion and I think she woudl love being out in the wilderness.
