I just did a cs130 alternator conversion in my fj40 and followed the tech article from the tech section. My question is, I put a voltmeter on the battery terminals with the engine running and I'm getting about 12.5 volts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but with the engine running I should be getting about 14 volts. I tried inceasing the idle and it had no effect. The alternator is a new reman unit from my local parts shop. Anybody have any experience with this swap? Thanks in advance.

Do you have 12V at the 'L' terminal with the truck running?

I bad, I can't read. It thought it said connect to 3-4 watt bulb to serve as charge waring light. When it said to connect "L" to a 12v source with a 3-4 watt bulb in the circuit. I'll switch it tomorrow and let you know how I make out.

Good luck!

Sure enough 14.4 volts!
