I appreciate you looking out for me. I believe something possibly went wrong at the post office. I mailed a manifold years ago to someone on here and he apparently received a box with used shoes and other miscellaneous items. Even the hand writing on the box wasn’t mine but had my info on it. I don’t know if the individual I sold the manifold to really got it or the post office screwed up because the box possibly fell apart. At the end of the day I refunded his money back.I was attempting to PM because I saw through the classified section that you were looking for parts and @cruiserland was attempting to make contact with you. I wanted to give you a heads up that it was most likely as scam and save you from the situation of loosing your money, like I just did. I dont know you, I never interacted with you on the forum, but you're welcome. At least I considred you; but, like you said, your inbox was full. May this thread remain up.
@cruiserland. And lastly, I did not bother to PM you since you wouldn't have believed me either way. The "package" was not lost. This is the package which I received and it should look familiar to you. The photos show the box you sent, the letterhead, etc. I didn't open it immediately the day of when I received it. I got home from work and fell asleep. There's nothing wrong with that. Indeed, it's very ridiculous; not everybody will believe my side of the story.
The packaging was taped up/sealed and I used my pocket knife to cut open the taped parts of the box..... The only way I'll be able to get some reimbursement back is through USPS, like @SFCDiablo mentioned. It'll be a hard case to prove, all the evidence I will be able to provide is what I've posted on here.
From what you mentioned, sending a box of corn doesn't make sense for a legitimate business/vendor that would be wishing for repeat customers. But, it can also be a way to guarantee that anyone trying to make a claim has difficulty doing so. The tracking number shows the package sent by @cruiserland was delivered at my address. I have the said box. I imagine USPS will have a hard time believing I didn't get what I ordered, since the box was delivered. The best I can do is try and see where it goes.
It also doesn't make sense for someone wishing to steal the package contents somewhere between shipping and arrival and replace the contents rather than just taking the entire package.
I'll provide any update if anything else comes of this but for now this is all that I can think of adding. I'm glad nobody that has posted in defense of @cruiserland mentioned they've lost out doing transactions with him. This is my first time doing buisness with him and this is the outcome. Id expect anyone else, under similar circumstances, to do the same. That is what the purpose of this section of the forum is for.
Word. What you don’t seem to be understanding is that since you didn’t contact him privately before posting here, you didn’t even give him a chance to correct the situation, you went straight to dragging his name through the mud when you really don’t know for sure what happened.
So no, that is not the purpose of this section.
If you were purchasing from me I wouldn’t have even shipped the part until after the check cleared. Which, it seems it still hasn’t.
Furthermore, add me to the list of those who have bought parts multiple times from Kina without issue.
No offense at all to anyone..Come on guys, Someone has to finish the story! this is the best thread on MUD
