Bingo Bango…

what’s going to be the Bongo? 4WD indicator switch boot maybe?
Good question! What do people need? A lot of these projects have been driven by my own need for my rig.
I can certainly look into that boot if there is a desire for it. I probably need one too. Mine is long gone!

This is the boot you are referring to correct?

Happy Holidays everyone!:santa: We recently imported, scanned and uploaded this great early 80s Belgian brochure.Lots of great photos of working cruisers and sweet Hilux. We hope everyone celebrating Christmas has a wonderful time with their families.
Photo is a link to the literature page.

Ok, I designed a little boot for the 4wd switch. I don't have an original in front of me to exactly model it but I think this design will work well? If anyone has an original boot in decent condition, please PM me. I would like a couple external dimensions if possible. We are going to print a prototype and test fitment before we make a rubber variant. :)

Up on the site today is a really cool article from 1969. Scanned it in this morning. :bounce2: A really cool review through Oregon and with copy like this "The four-wheel drive vehicle churned through mud snow, waterholes and riverbeds, tooled down twisting two-lane roads like a Mercedes, and rolled down Interstate 5 like a modified Imperial", its worth the read. :D

Working on correcting some bugginess with this page in mobile format. It keeps crashing now and then on some devices.

Update: Ok, should be all sorted now. Hopefully no more issues, but please let me know if there still are.

Anybody know what the timing issue was (is?) that they mentioned a few times but didn’t really elaborate the what and why of it?

Rubber 4wd switch boot prototype :) We incorporated the extra little lip around the neck like the OG boot based on pics. Headlamp switch boot soon to follow :bounce2:
I just took mine off because it was barely hanging on. I might be able to get a decent measurement or two out of it. Just let me know.

Also, thanks for taking the project on. I will be first in line when its avail.
