Just curious, and I am not coming up with anything in "search"

Anybody put a FJ60, or any Cruiser, on a 88-98 chevy 3/4 ton chasis? I haven't even put a tape to anything yet, but I know I can't be the first to think about this.

What about the front of the chevy chasis with the rear cut off for a linked suspension to match the new body?

I have seen a VW rabbit on a 4x4 frame. Looks wierd, but somebody made it work...

Frizzlefry has put a 55 body on a blazer chassis. I think his build is on here and on Pirate.

Why would you want IFS and a semi floor rear axle ???

Plus the steering is weak you'll be replacing parts all the time

But if you want to do it brake out the welder and have it

I have 3/4 ton with the vortec 7.4 NV4500 combo. Not sure about the t-case. Also a corporate 14 bolt. I bought the truck with a flat bed for work, but with the drivetrain in mind for something fun in the future.

From what I have read a BBC in a Cruiser frame has some steering issues that have to get worked out too. That got me thinking about just doing an SAS to the chevy,( they have gotten cheap) but the cab I have now is a POS, and that got me thinking about putting a 60 body on the chevy frame.

I really don't have the money, or time, for any of this, but what if?

sounds like a good way to fxxx up two rigs and not be able to work either.

Kill two trucks with one torch.

Brilliant. My wife said something along those lines too.

Save the motor and trans move the steering box if needed it'll be alot
easyer then makein the Chevy frame work keep the rear axle if you want to go
big but polys and Longs would make the stock axles good

-this is NOT my truck...belongs to a buddy of mine, the V8's just arnt my thing but he will throw a V8 into anything with 4 wheels...-

Probably not exactly what you had in mind when you asked the question, but I posted this up in another thread not long ago. This was built by a friend of mine. Built it about 7 years ago, sold it to someone in NorCal so I don't know the state of it now.

Widened and stretched FJ40 body on Chevy Blazer chassis.

i put a 40 body on a shortened 6x6 chassis so a chevy truck shouldnt be that bad.
