Dave has, I haven't. Del and I haven't talked about what we want to do yet, at least not enough to make a decision, lol.

What he said. Haha

Thursday: Top of the World
Friday: Hell's Revenge
Saturday: Golden Spike

I'd like to do Fins and Things maybe as a pre-event run on Tuesday or Wednesday.

A few suggestions for based on your trucks... Pritchett, Moab Rim, Metal Masher, Cliff Hanger, Hells Revenge (thursday or friday, avoid saturday, only for the obstacles and redemption on escalator for trying to swallow your sunglasses.) We'll definitely play on potato salad hill too. We can also break away a day and do something not on the list, like Rusty Nail.

I will contact the event center some time this week to see about being able to park there earlier in the week prior to the event starting.
Spoke with some of the committee members and they said it might not be a big deal but to call the old Spanish trail arena just to run it by them.

I am planning on arriving in Moab sunday or Monday prior to the event.

This will give us an opportunity to do as many trails as we want before the large crowds.

I would rather leave the hard trails ( Pritchett canyon) until the very end. I don’t feel like braking my junk at the beginning of the week and watch everybody wheel the rest of the time I’m there.

Good plan. Pritchett would be the only one to worry about breaking on. You’re truck is gonna handle pretty much anything on the event trail list. I’ll take you guys around before the event if you’d like. I used to take a group to top of the world on Tuesday, but now it’s an event trail.

Mike if you are going to be in Moab at the beginning of the week before the event it would be awesome to hang out.
I’m sure nobody will mind if you wheeled with us and showed us around.

I can be in Moab all week if you guys arrive early. My plan was to make plans around yours. More than likely I'll be volunteering for recoveries and and otherwise just exploring with my buddy Anthony to plan future trips. Nobody minds if we go around and do trails on our own. In the past, I've even hopped in as passenger on a group run. So all I'm saying, is if you and Johnny do Pritchett, I'm hopping in with the drone and cameras.

I've got to drop out of this trip. Too much to do on the rigs, and too little time/money/motivation to do it.

Have fun boys.

What!!??? Again? I'm sad now. I was hoping we could share a bottle of tequila and watch the sunset together again.

I'm even sadder now. Silver lining, I've been telling you for 10 years I'll be back, so what's another year :P

@Mikepakkuroba

I really hope you will be around all week. Looks like I will be wheeling by myself if your not around.

I’m pretty much done with this whole event already. Trail rides are full so I guess if they are full you are left to fend for yourself which I’m ok with but if that is the case then I would elect to go to Moab when there isn’t an event and not have to deal with the whole trail selection and don’t get me started with the registration fiasco.

I am not trying to be that guy but I’m not going to drive 2000 miles with other ONSCers and not wheel with them.

I don’t I suppose I could pick other trails rides that are open instead of going on a wait list. Or I can just wheel that trail by myself on the day that I want.

Either way I’m really hoping the event will be worth it because up to this point I haven’t been impressed by the whole registration and trail selection.

I completely understand Del. I've been telling people how unimpressed I am with the new cruise moab committee and the decisions they've made regarding the event. The most significant change they've made is to cater to club members at their own event rather than make it welcoming to those who might visit Moab once in their life. Thanks for the honest feedback.

I'd love it if ONSC members came out to the event just to experience it, but I won't blame you if you choose to bail and reschedule a trip. In fact, It may be something to think about for september-ish. Then I can show you guys around the mountains where I live and Moab all in the same trip. If you decide to come out this way solo I'll be more than happy to wheel with you and I'll make sure you get on some trail runs. Things at the event get changed around in real time so spots open up every day.

You can also do what I did in 2012 and guilt Johnny into riding passenger with you.

I will do cruise moab this year since it’s already on the schedule and planned out but it will probably be my last one. I do plan to do more trips out west now that I have more free time so I will take you up on your offer and make sure to hit you up when I’m in the area.

At least Moab is like a giant wheeling amusement park. I’ll wheel with you and there’s a 100% chance of finding a group to join us.

One week out before I start the tow rig and head west.

Link up point is set with Dave.
Travel times and stops are planned out.

The only thing missing is my final prep.

I will have a day and a half when I get back to the states to finish up all my prep for the trip.

Crawler needs
Front axle and brake calipers buttoned up Possible full float fully armored rear axle swapped in.
Front headlights replaced - took off the round lights to put them on my other truck.
Tools and recovery gear loaded up.

Trailer/ camper
Fab up Lockable Metal side covers to protect gear from walking away.
roof vent repaired/replaced.

Tow rig
I might replace batteries since it has been sitting for a while but I did all the scheduled maintenance before I left.
Oh and buy a spare serpentine belt to have in truck.

I’m going to hit the ground running and knock out all the prep needed once I get back from Europe.
I will relax once I am on the road.
