Excited! First time to moab!

I got it figured out! all registered!

is it going to matter if I change the rig I bring?

So is this campsite just that popular, or something goofy with their website?

I've tried reserving via the website, and it says that everything is sold out for those dates.

X2....I emailed and they said there are plenty of spots left. I'll have to call later.

Go through and select specific camp sights until you find one near where you want to be that is open on the dates you need. Here's a screen shot of site 172 avail all May long

No, ultimately you will be assessed for capability during safety inspection and again at the start of each trail by your trail leader. We use the initial registration kind of like pre-screening - if somebody signs up for Pritchett Canyon and says they are on 31s and open diffs we'll probably contact them and clear things up.

Personally I haven't decided if I'm going to be in my 40 or 60 but they're both on 33s with a locker and that's the main thing.

I signed up with the 40 series, but wasn't sure and was thinking about bringing the 62 series instead.
both similar, open diffs and 31's

How and when do we which trails we got into?

I saw that many people already know they are going on the Kokopelli run. When do we get confirmation? Anxiously awaiting answer

Stephen Rudy in in charge of trail assignments this year. I was in charge of that for a number of years, and knowing how the sausage is made will say that we always try to get that out to everyone within a month or so prior to the event. It is a difficult job and involves juggling many variables. At the end of the day, most everyone gets what they wanted, and everyone has an awesome time.

To my knowledge, NO ONE knows for sure what they are running as of today's date, and anyone who says they "know" are speculating based on the automated system's saying that when they signed up there were still xx spots open. Generally that means you are in, but there are a lot of things that our Trail Boss has to juggle behind the scenes that may result in a different thing than what everyone thought. To repeat, the vast majority of everyone gets exactly what they asked for, first choice. We work really, really hard to achieve that goal.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for response. Are u the one who normally is the trail boss on fins n things? If so, looking forward to seeing you soon.

Hi Sue,

No I haven't led fins for a couple years, but for a long time I led it every year on Thursday or Friday. This year I am running Kane Creek on Thursday, Leading Chicken Corner on Friday and gunning Wipe Out Hill on Saturday. Regardless of whether we're on the same trail, I'll still look forward to seeing you too!

Just got a notification, CM 12 registration is closed, wait-list link is still active. hope everyone got signed up OK. Can't wait to see ya'll there!

Shouldn't we have heard if our trail choices were OKed by now? Not rushing, just asking.

There is art mixed with the science of finalizing trail assignments. Unfortunately the software we have is homegrown and not perfect, and thus there is work on the part of the trail team to finish things up to ensure that trails are balanced and meet the requirements of the BLM permits. It may be a couple more weeks before all attendees have their final trails.

Had a great time this weekend with about a dozen Rising Sun Members. We got a chance to run a large portion of the trails that I was unfamiliar with. Cant wait to see all of you at the event.

Here is a little taste of Moab for you. Note, several of the features are not included in the event due to safety/permitting concerns.

Couldn't view on my iPhone but if you did all the obstacles listed your da man!!!
