Nobody is teasing me about the bike shorts.

Thought about it: couldn't come up with anything that wouldn't require the acronym NTTAWWT, or however it's spelled. :meh:

Maybe everybody's hoping they won't EVER see [STRIKE]you[/STRIKE] ANY man in bike shorts, and by not responding, you'll forget all about it. :flipoff2:

Does that make you happy Mike? But if you put that stuff on and walk through Moab, I may just drive up, buy a video camera and submit it to America'a Funniest Videos! Maybe we can split that 10k prize. I can even lend a set of shorts and shirt (may be a bit small for you and not as colorful as Rory's) but that would make it a heck of a lot funnier if you went through town asking for i don't know (maybe directions to the most dificult ride). Heck, I would even spring for a pink helmet, and you can ask Sarah for some stickers to decorate it!

It looks like the weather is going to perfect.

Ah, just right! We'll just get through one more work day, and then we're outta here! :cheers:

P.S. I got the 8800R Ham installed yesterday, so I'll be learning how to operate it for the next few years! I think it will be plenty of radio for me to "grow into."

Maybe Jon and Beowulf can remind me of their radio call signs. I know Jon is ***RAT, but I don't recall if the *** is KE5 or something else. I judt don't remember Mike's at all. It should probably be KE5BEO, but I don't think it is.

Ali is KE5LED, and we should listen for him, at least later in the week. He is covering some ground with his buddies, but should be in or near Moab toward the weekend.

Mike = KE5KOE
Me = KJ5RAT, J as in Jon.

Mike and I will give you plenty of coaching and practice on the way up. Just remember to ID every 10 minutes when chatting.

Thanks! I appreciate the reminder to ID.

Unfortunately Ali is now at home :crybaby: There was a plumbing emergency at the house and Michele contacted me just as we were exiting the Hole in the Rock trail. My trip got cut short by a week but that's ok. We ran the Kokopelli and Hole in the Rock trails in six days and I'm content.

No, but I like to walk around town wearing those nifty bike shorts and colorful jerseys. I think we have some pics of Rory from the Columbus Day trip. He helped me pick out an outfit just like his.I can hardly wait.-Mike-
Thank you for remembering me Mike. I know that you were quite impressed with my get-up and you should be happy to know my new bike is just as colorful ;)

@ CM right now sitting and drinking a beer, cleaning out my truck, doing laundry after 12 days or so on the road. Not trail running today or tomorrow. I blew one of the rear FF hubs and am waiting on CDan Cavalry to arrive on Friday so I can fix my rear end. :crybaby:

Anyway, another fun year with the Rising Sun folks....

Best.

Congrats Onur, way to keep pace with yourself!

How do you break a rear hub? What part of it breaks? At least you are there and not here at work.

So the benefit of the FF axle is that the wheel essentially rides on a spindle, staying attached to the end of the axle housing, even if the axle shaft (or hub flange) breaks, right?

Let us losers that could not make it see what we are all missing so we can

The answer is yes. But, I don't know how the heck he managed to shear all of the studs unless they worked themselves loose and finally let go. He did install a set of Poly Performance heavy duty rear axles before the trip maybe they weren't torqued enough? A little bit of play will play havoc with hub studs or even wheel lug studs.

how many of those outfits do you have? more than 1 judging by how clean it is after your crash. make sure that leg doesn't get infected with cryptobiotics. :flipoff2:
