Here's my listing:

Thursday: Fins & Things
Friday: Gold Bar Rim
Saturday: Steel Bender

I'll be back in town this weekend and then the following weekend as well. May need a hand lifting the Metal-Tech Sliders in place. I was going to wait until I ripped the flares off and line-xd it, but haven't been around enough to get it done. Sadly I am stuck in MT due to snow at the moment and wasting days away....edited on Thursday morning....add another day stuck in MT :bang:

Looks like HDC day Saturday on Steel Bender (Keith, Evan, Mike, me). Wonder who is leading.

Went to moab this weekend. Only had one day of wheeling with the little ones.

Those of you may remember Moab Columbus Day 2007 when we made a run on Moab rim with a bunch of FJ Cruisers. Well, they were there again, and since I was alone, I teamed up with them for Hell's Revenge. We skipped Hell's gate which was fine by me, I would rather have a strong spotter to make a run at it. Tip over challenge was cake. Rest of the trail was pretty easy and a good run for a half day.

Moab is primed for you guys at Cruise Moab!!

Hey Graham -

Thanks for the report! Does this mean we won't see you next week at CM09?

Probably not...I work the overnight on Thursday, sleep on Friday, Sat is off, got NC early Sunday.

I think I'm booked.

Too bad. Keep us in mind for the October trip - so far it's been on the Columbus Day weekend. I think this will be the third annual!

Have we decided on a place/time to meet up for the convoy up? I'm guessing we're taking the Bernallio, Farmington, I-70 route?

I believe Mike, Evan and I will be meeting at the Rio Puerco bridge off I-40 @7am. We go into Gallup, then north to Shiprock.

That sounds like a plan. It's worked well for us in the past. That gets us to Shiprock or Cortez around lunchtime, and should get us into Moab about 3:00 or so.

Keith - just FYI - the Rio Puerco bridge is about 20 miles west of town (+/-) and there's a gas station on the north side of I-40.

One week from tomorrow!

Let us know if the 7am start is going to cause you a problem. We can move the time back if you need it but like Evan said, this time schedule works pretty good. We need to keep it under 70 MPH for some of the 4 cyl engines and those like me that go to single digit MPG and watching the fuel needle dropping when the speed gets to 80. :D

If we get to Moab around 2-3pm then we have time to get our lodging squared away and get to the Slick Rock campground in time to get inspected before the last minute rush. Everyone will be in camp for the registration, meeting old & new friends, drooling over other trucks, telling lies, and the driver meeting.

You might want to review the vehicle requirements; CB, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, working parking brake, and a few others that I can't recall right now.

That gas station at the Puerco is kind of expensive. You can click and drag on the whole route here:

P.S. don't forget your insurance certificate...

Mike is right. We have done this schedule for I think the last two years and it works well. It gets us into Moab at a decent time and allows us to gawk over the rigs. You are in for a treat.

Channel 40 on the CB, 146.460 on the 2M.

That's a great website Steve. Looks like gas in Moab is around $2.09 right now. The website should come in handy for those 80's boys that need to gas up every mile or so on the way up. Me? I'll gas up before I leave and fill up when I hit Moab. :grinpimp:

I need to stop reading this thread. You guys will be enjoying a weekend in Cruiser heaven while I will be spending the entire weekend finishing up a term paper/project. :frown: I'm in for CM10 though! - Well.... If I have a new truck by then.

Anyone bringing a mountain bike to cruise around town...or any of the trails after wheeling?

No, but I like to walk around town wearing those nifty bike shorts and colorful jerseys. I think we have some pics of Rory from the Columbus Day trip. He helped me pick out an outfit just like his.

I can hardly wait.

Nobody is teasing me about the bike shorts.

* Does this mean that I am the only one that thinks the bike shorts idea is funny?
* Does this mean that I am the only one that thinks most of the cr@p I post is funny?

:whimper:

i think everyone is working on their junk to get ready and has no time to respond.:D
