Well, it's that time again - the Cruise Moab website is up and running and awaiting your registration. The event will be held Wednesday, April 29 through Sunday, May 3rd (wheeling Thursday, Friday, and Saturday). There is also an overnight run that's Wednesday night (I think).

The website is www.cruisemoab.com.

Here are my trail choices:

Thursday:
1) Hell's Revenge
2) Steel Bender
3) Cliff Hanger

Friday:
1) Cliff Hanger
2) Hell's Revenge
3) Steel Bender

Saturday:
1) Steel Bender
2) Cliff Hanger
3) Hell's Revenge

I have been on all of these trails before and they are all a lot of fun. It would be great to get some more High Desert Cruisers out there on the same trails. See you in Moab!

Oh, if you insist. I want ya'all to know I tip-toed in Hades getting the time off this year. The boss is cranky, but she will get over it.

i'm holding out for the Oct trip. i gotta get the wife on a big vacation this year that doesn't involve 4x4.:D

Classic 100 series owner mentality.

;p

HAHAHAHHAHA

FWIW, If I think the 40 will be done getting be-dieseled by then, I think I'd like to try to bring it. Any idea how quick registrations fill up? It'll have more to do with the speed of bodywork than anything else for me....

If I took the faux-lux, I'd probably better get cracking with the SAS and "stuff." ;)

Ain't never been to Cruise Moab :hillbilly: so I have couple of ?'s that may sound stupid. I couldn't find the answers on the web site.

Is it possible to only sign up for a day or two instead of the whole week. (I already scheduled my days off for Feb) I may be able to swing a Fri off to head up there but who know what the work load will be by then.

What is the registration fee? What happens if you register and can't make it?

I just don't want to sign up for some trails and cancel a spot if work does not agree with me leaving.

Classic kidless bachelor response. :flipoff2:

What's wrong with kidless bachelors? We don't have to be home at a certain time to change diapers or need to get approval to buy whatever TOY we want :D :flipoff2: :flipoff2: !

[sigh...]

Don't rub it in too much.

Boy, talk about a derailment. Back on track ...

They do have a cancellation policy, but I think you will give up something. The best thing to do would be to find somebody to go in your place and just let RS know the name change on the registration.

You don't have to attend every day, but you will need to pay for the entire event. They have not had a daily fee, and I don't blame them. Trying to keep track would be a nightmare.

Hey Dan -

If you're thinking about it, I'd say get signed up sooner rather than later. I seem to recall that they were pretty much filled within a month last year. Having said that, some of the more popular trails will fill up much sooner than that. They did have a new feature when I signed up this year that showed how many spots were still open for each trail for each day. They limit each trail to a max of 20 trucks per day.

By the way, a diesel 40 would get a lot of interest in Moab. Half the fun of being there is going around checking out all the cool Cruisers.

Hope to see you there!

It will be worth it!

Don't worry, this life is over rated anyways. Sometimes, I wish I had the structure of a family to keep on track compared to the "do what you want" way of life.

Thanks, I guess I will have to figure out what I want to do. I was thinking of wheeling Fri and Sat if I can get Fri off. Or just going up to expierence it for a short weekend.

Looks good Jon. Maybe we'll have some common trails on Friday and/or Saturday. Anyone else for Cliff Hanger or Steel Bender?

Did that on purpose. Cliff Hanger gave me the willies last year and I want to conquer that trail this year. I don't remember if I ran Steel Bender, so I signed up. I would have done Kane Creek on Thursday, but decided to go for the over night instead.

Boss has the vacation requests on her desk ... three of them. She will have something to say about two of them, but BOTH are her fault, so she can't say too much.

Probably will be running renegade again, if at all this year.

Me too. If I'm still unemployed yee-haa, but that won't be known immediately.

There's also another little surprize to be added to my stable but that's still a week or so away...
