Got this CU-301 Constant Pressure Control from a pump replacement job. It was new 2009. Decided to save some money and see how it works.

All done and set pressure to 70 psi.

It was close to 100F today. Mid day relaxing in the hammock in the shade for awhile then a dunk in the water trough.

I had enough of doing nothing and decided to go explore the backroads… even if I had my pump truck.

Owe how I wish I had my 60 series…😕

Mt. Scott (8,934’) which is a parasitic cone, such as Shastina is on the shoulder of Mt. Shasta, of ancient Mt. Manama which erupted to later form Crater Lake.

Great time exploring the backwoods and not a single vehicle was seen.

Got back as the heat of the day was gone. Started working on the east side hand cut rafters. One dilemma was the end of my 4’ overhang was kicked out a 1/2” @ 118.5”

Thankfully I had one of our long ratchet straps and was able to tighten it back to 118”.

Was able to install about half of the rafters before calling it quits for the night.

I really loved working on the first structure in the cold and snow, totally opposite conditions now. Even the lumber behaves differently. Pilot drilling is a must to prevent the sinkers from blowing out the lumber. The lumber was green on the first one which made nailing so much faster. Hope to finish the rafters in the morning and maybe start sheeting before the heat is on again!🤨

Probably the hottest day over here today. Was a comfortable start in the upper 40s last night here. Was another great night in the hammock under a full moon listening to coyotes. Checked the highway cam and was a nice 49F.

But at the closest highway cam to my house it was already 86F at the same time…🥵

Had my rafter pattern and busted up tracing and cutting the rafters which makes quick work when the lumber is square. Could feel the heat from the sun and was glad I have some brief morning shade. The late afternoon is best but it’s still so damn hot. 🤨

Got all the rafters installed and now it’s time for blocking. I wish I had my compound miter saw😕
Talked to my buddy Travis and he said it was already 100F where he was working. He just got back from a week in Arizona and said the heat in Oregon was way worse due to the humidity.

How much snow does the property get?

While you guys were dealing with the heat, we had the cold and rain. I have not seen so much rain at my place before, over three days it must have rained 4 inches.

The work needed to get done, I put on a rain coat and kept going. I did build a fire at night as the cold and damp goes right through a person.

Walter my Swiss neighbor who’s family escaped the Nazi’s during WWII has lived there since the early 90s and said there’s been as much as 8’ on the ground.

Will the roof handle that? Seems pretty flat. Or is that the pitch your neighbors have?

My client ( owner of the TTI Group) would be happy that you are using Milwaukee power tools.
We used them to build his house and we do like their tools.
Temp here in Vancouver BC hit 103F . Plus the humidity .......... too hot.

Hot already so moved work area to the shade. Blocking begins with ripping 2x6 down to 4.5” wide.

Corrected it for you, there are no roads in the backcountry. Backcountry is where you go on foot or horseback.

This isn’t a joke, front country is where you can drive to.

Is your land all flat?

Decided to exchange my left hand swing door for a right hand swing for the bathroom due to how the shower and electrical light switch would be on the same well. Made a list of materials and headed to Klamath Falls

I didn’t laugh because I don’t disagree with you…
For what it’s worth I did get out and hike into Crater Lake National Park to explore some rock formations for climbing so I guess we are both correct😆🤣😆
