I pulled wheels to check brake pads and when I went to put wheels back on I thought I might be using the wrong lugnuts... goin on 2 years now. Your expertise please.

Thanks!

I can't tell what wheels you have...first thought was 80 series but they don't seem to be after second glance.

IF they are 80 series, you need the shank type lug nut, which is pictured below on left.

There are a couple styles out there and it depends on the wheel lug mounting surface. Most mfg's and aftermarket use cone seat, European tend to use ball seat.

I bought them off Craigslist a couple of years ago. They were stock rims off either a Tundra or Tacoma. I have to run 1/4 inch spacers on front.

Scary O_O

definitely need something that catches more threads there~~~

Does the spacer have its own set of lugs? If it doesn't, then you may need more than just extended nuts.

Makes sense
no wonder those initial threads look like they are history...

might need longer lugs...
or different wheels

Those spacers obviously aren’t thick enough to have the lugs. I think 1” spacers are the thinnest ones that will have the lugs integrated. Some will “poo poo” those type of spacers but it’s not a problem as long as you recheck the spacer is tightened down. Personally, I’d try the extended thread lugs first.

Just a quick search of “hub centric spacer” turns up plenty of options.

I also have another style that is come shaped not for the rim I have or a 60 but it is a toyota. I can't remember where I got them from been probably 15 years. I'll take a pic and post it

The one on the left is the style I needed my rims are mag style the hole in the rim is bigger aslo uses a waaher and no cone shape

I also need some type of spacer but no 1/4 1/8 will work for me the rubber on the tre just touches so I have a friend of mine cutting me out some out of 1/8 steel.
